I just wanted to know how much gold an average gw2 player has. 11 gold here

43 here. I sell everything.. even my stacks of mats

13 or 14, maybe. Level 63.

I have 5g at level 80 right now.

I have between 15 and 20g. I think realistically we have more wealth in our stacks of collectibles and ectos and whatnot than we have in gold, tho.

As a former SWG billionaire, I can tell you that the ’’average’’ is very, very misleading.

Take the following example: 10 players have 1-10 gold, 10 players have 10-20 gold, 10 players have 20-30 gold and 1 player has 400 gold.

The average player doesn’t exist in distributions like this.

Also, as mulch said, gold isn’t everything… go to your bank, take out all the collectables and sell them… you will see that you will have WAY more gold than you think.

By the way, I follow these steps when my inventory is half-full:
- open all the bags
- salvages all the whites with crude (yes, crude) salvage tools
- deposit all collectables in the bank
- sell all green & blue to a merchant
- sell all yellows & unidentified dyes to TP

I suck at making gold. Think I make 1 gold maybe 2 on most days but end up spending it all.

This man knows his stuff.. I have a lvl 76 Engineer and that is my higest. i have 43g and i have every single mini pet (with the exception of the exotics) and yet i feel like i have about 150+. Its called a trading game. buy low, sell with a small profit. Dont over price things for they will never sell.

23g at the moment. But this doesn’t include all my liquid and non-liquid assets (exotic soulbounded armors/jewelries) as well as sunk costs (extra bank slots, private guild storage, etc).

Actual gold? 5 gold right now, but I have my nice Whisper blade (~150+ gold) and my Wall of the Mists (~50 gold). Do dungeons, make money.

7g, but I have The Legend staff to make Bifrost plus half the materials. That gives me what 300-400 gold maybe 500? depending on the market.

I’m quite poor right now because I spent most of my money last night on my last piece of exotic cloth. Need to work on accessories and staff now. So I’ve had typically between 3-4g since I hit 80, but I’ve also been working on gear every day since I hit 80 lol so I spend it as fast as I make it. I suspect when I don’t have so much to spend it on I’ll be rich.

180g, and 54 black lion keys i just bought (found a precursor the other day thats i got my money) i have yet to sell any of my mats so i have ALOT with my 500+ hours online

57g right now. Just steadily climbing until I reach 100g for the Icy Runestones and it’s back to 0.

About 8 gold at level 71- no special exotics or anything. I have just really become interested in virtual economies so have spent the last few days playing the trading post and having fun with it. I also have a severe unidentified dye addiction which I’m trying to break.

Level 80 – 46 silver (i’m not joking) with 1 exotic and it’s just a base version, i swear i have the worst luck with regards to drops etc. A lot of my money is going on the waypoints for the story quest which i only recently started to do.

I’m open to donations (or someone to chase me with a pitchfork to speed me up ).

4gold lvl80 playing sinds launch my max was at some time 12g when i sold alot from bank. Got everythink in exotic transmuted all my gear into tier 1 sylvari racial and not realy paying attention making gold.

I have 2g, but I just spent 2g on guild influence for my bank.

Level 64, and have 8 gold.

lvl 80. 15 g, i have bought gems 3 x. after selling mats. spent 2 gold about 3 weeks in and got 765 gems for it. opened my bank another slot. then about 1 week ago I bought 11g worth of gems and I think I got 1700 gems. opened up another bank slot and a bag slot for two diff chars. hanging onto the rest until after today’s patch.
it is a game after all and I cannot take it with me so I might as well spend it in game.

About 3.5g w/ a lvl 51 & 21. I’ve used a bunch of low lvl mats for crafting for XP. And I’m addicted to dyes…

I just spent 13g on an entire suit of OoW skins, including the longbow. I have 2g left.

OoW skin? What one is that?

I just sold a few stacks of lowbie crafting materials and made over 5 gold. I’m guessing the people that are broke either skip harvesting (which is stupid, you get XP for harvesting), or they craft themselves and spend everything on crafting.

But to answer the OP, I have about 20 gold across all of my characters.

I have about 5g, and 1 lv80. although i have converted most of the gold i’ve made into gems and have 8 character slots, full bank and some extra bag slots on my main. So not doing too bad. Also i have all minis except the exotics and i am 2/6 for my Shiro’s armor set.

5.8 gold, level 53. I sell all mats as I am not interested in crafting at this moment.

roughly 70 gold but I’ve probably spent around 40 gold.

I peaked at about 44g but blew a bunch of it prepping gear for my next 80 and impatience in maxing out one of her crafts, so I’m down to 24.

I’ve spent a decent amount getting 2 80’s fully exotic (gathered most but there’s some stuff you end up buying) and all 8 crafts up to 400.

I also have a serious dye addiction. Most of my gold has been flushed buy 20 undiscovered at a time and playing dye lotto. Finally kind of getting over this now that I have to scroll on my main just to see my 40+ rares dyes. :P

I bought all the exotic dyes and it only cost me about 10 gold (a few weeks ago).

i think i have around 5g right now, at level 80. i spent around 6-8g last night on exotics. i only started saving at level 80 but i’m not very efficient at it… i spend most of my time in AC lately (for weapon skins… 1/3 purchased so far) and am only as far as the straits of devastation in my personal story.

i don’t mind saving at a slow pace though, i don’t think i’ll get bored any time soon

I’ve never even had 1g because I’ve been converting all my silver to gems to buy minis with. At some point I need to save up to buy the trait manuals, but after that I’ll be back to buying minis again.

I probably could get them with real money and save my gold, but this way it feels more like I’ve earned them. (Silly considering I’ve earned the real money too, but there you go.)

You can have plenty of gold even at level 2, you just have to sit on the TP and play the market many hours a day ^^
Either way i don’t like that way of getting gold, are you a goldfarmer or anything? I just play the game normally, and gold comes in, 34g, 16k gems and two full sets of exotic gear…the good thing is all you need to play on equal conditions on GW2 is about…20g?

I have never been above 2g (but I’ve been close). I am level 53 now.

Also, I have not once bought or sold anything on the TP. So that 2g is just from selling\buying stuff to\from vendors.

I’m on 112g atm, will probably spend a lot once halloween patch arrives.

Just under 5g at 80, getting cash in this game is easily the worst I’ve known in any mmo I’ve played,can’t even grind properly for it the drops are so bad.Its the main thing that’s putting me off this game of late to be honest.

2g blew up 40-50s yesterday buying alcohol in a lion arch’s bar. I wanted to see if you could die from alcohol intoxication, but apparently not =/ It just makes your screen all dizzy

Around 100g invested in buy / sell orders, about 30g on me.

Hard to say for sure though.

20-30 silver lvl 50 Mesmer. I had about 1.3g I guess due to someone giving me 1g. But that’s all gone due to buying armor for their skins, crafting, tons of repairs due to perpetual dying, gear upgrades and ummm... dyes.

I have found if you just run the maps to completion and don’t die, Youll be okay. It’s fairly easy to not die but I haven’t learned it yet. hehe You will need to do extra activities to attain higher amounts of money. Such as farming something and selling, perhaps getting lucky on a drop and selling. I fear I will never attain exotics, cultural or karma gears due to I don’t care for the grinds. Ah well, taking my time and having fun. The various quests/hearts payouts are increasing too so its a it better.

0, hackers took all and anet gives no refund. Was doing only sPvP ever since, hoping they invent some sort account roll back soon :P.
