Hello

It’s been a long time since I’ve played GW2. I used to farm gold with like 5 bosses daily. Now I see the dulfy timer and I’m wondering how much gold do you profit doing these on average?

Or what is the best gold farming method? Besides TP.

Thanks guys

The value of farming World Bosses comes mainly from the Rare/Exotic bonus rewards that can be sold or salvaged for Ectos. You’ll make little to nothing off the actual Tier rewards which are like a few silver each. I mostly just do it for the Dragonite Ore + Karma.

Besides playing the TP the best way would be to just join the Champ train in Frostgorge Sound. Chance at rare drops and T6 mats which you can sell. The Boss Blits is also very good if you can get into a consistent gold group. You can potentially earn hundreds of Exotic Loot Bags if you invest the time.

Run dungeon, if you are looking for quick cash.

As for world bosses, profit per boss is actually 25~50% higher(due to price increase on rares/ecto), but the train is 2~3x slower.

Just throwing a random number out there, probably around half a gold per boss not accounting for side activities.

side activities as in, doing pre events at ulgoth and getting a bunch of bags that contain linen, champ bags, etc.

Rare 77+ greatswords, swords, staffs, daggers, and occasionally other rares can all be sold for 55-70+ silver on the tp. I usually just salvage the other rares.

Just selling the rares on the TP I get around 5 gold per cycle and run it on 2 characters per night. I salvage all the greens and lower. It’s not uber profitable but the conversations are fun to pass the time and bobble bosses are a nice touch.

World bosses are essentially junk for gold. Get your token rare and whatever other bonus rares you get, your dragonite, salvage the rares for ecto (or sell them if you can get cheaper rares to salvage, sometimes certain skins are worth quite a bit — 50 silver and up), and move on.

About a little more than half a gold per boss sounds accurate for me (Magic Find 150).

There are better ways to farm for gold, definitely, but that depends on how much time you can play without being interrupted.

Players farm the bosses for other reasons besides gold though.

If you decide to incorporate it into legit PvE gameplay and not JUST farm bosses all day long, use an ingame boss timer overlay to completely eliminate downtime.

Hi pakamon thought I would give you some idea of how much you can get from world bosses these days. On average I get about anywhere between 15-30g a day from bosses for a few hours work.

Dungeon running is definitely more profitable if you know what you’re doing.

I hear gold Boss Blitz is pretty lucrative too right now.

But don’t discount world boss income – a lot of events are auto attack and get loot for basically next to nothing. You can also substantially increase your income by doing pre-events, especially in groups for tagging credit.

So many people afk at Cloven Hoof for example, waiting for Ulgoth to pop. The assault event chain has seven champ bags. The defend Junction camp is pretty impressive too – I average 65 T4 loot bags, with tons of T4 leather and some linen.

I usually get more rares from trash mobs, and the occasional exotic just doing the pre-event stuff, and I’m only at about 165% MF base currently.
