How much of your money does Anet have?
More than I care to add up.
£120 on CE. Lots and lots on gems. I would guess I’ve spend around £80 per month on gems every month since release, but it could be more.
I think I’m around the $200/$250, and then the $120 for the collectors edition. Like someone else has said, never bought keys and still won’t, and can’t make gold fast enough to try to convert it to gems. As much as I hate missing one time only skins, I’m not supporting real money gambling tactics.
I had no problem buying more character slots/bank tabs, even a few mini packs. Though I tend to spend a bunch for holiday/one time only stuff (like the holiday minis or the SAB minis) since I don’t want to miss them. I think I’m done buying costumes until they put some way in to allow us to recreate them, like in GW1.
Please give us a keyring…
Around $100. Got the DDE and think I spent some more on gems twice now. Not too much by game standards for me. The whole transfer gold to gems really helps, that and I try my best to avoid temptations of the gem store unless I really need it or want to have it and have money to spare. Honestly I haven’t even got all upgraded bank tabs cause I’m a stingy person. xD
In GW1, I don’t even want to know how much money I’ve gave them. xD I’ve bought the whole game set for at least 3 people and in-game purchases a-plenty.
I’d say I am doing quite cheaply in this game compared to other games I ‘ve played for years (hasn’t even been a year yet though :P). Though I admit I am quite more apt to want to waste money in the gem store since there is no 10-15 dollars I have to throw at them anyways. But I try to save it for occasions when something might occur that I really want (what I am doing right now).
Oh yeah while we are on the subject, no one else think this should have just been a set in the first place instead of individual pieces?
Besides that what’s the point of all these other individual pieces if they really just don’t go with anything? :S
I think the idea in the long run is probably to allow you to mix and match without having to spend a fortune on ‘sets’ but just the individual parts. So there might not be a great mix with these clothes right now for humans (I have to say there are some interesting options if you are asura), I’m sure as they add more stuff. These very basic bits n’ bobs will make it easy to combine your own unique style. So I think it’s a good idea to go both individual pieces and sets.
• Have you heard of the city? The ancient uru? Where there was power to write worlds •
$60 for the game + $20 for 2 additional character slots + $10 for 1 more bank tab
so $90 USD total
I might have to pick up the new pick though.
[TTBH] [HATE], Yak’s Bend(NA)
$80 Game + gems (to get the Halloween costume).
However, I’m not spending a single coin on this game anytime soon. I’m not willing to sponsor some super unnecessary box of kitten or crap like that when things really needed like bugs, unbalanced classes and lack of necessary tools are in the bottom of Anet priorities.
Note: I like the game, I really do but Anet gave me a very unfinished product so they have yet to earn my money.
Besides, I spent a lot of money in GW1 after Anet move to work on GW2 and since the people in charge of GW1 always whined about not having enough resources to do anything, I assume all these money went to GW2 so I already paid a lot for this game.

About $300 (US) since launch day. I have 5 toons at level 80 and I like to keep them in top notch gear. I’ve changed their end-game builds a couple of times, which is not cheap. Even with 1400+ game hours (virtually all PvE), there’s simply no way to farm enough gold or grind enough dungeon tokens to play this game the way I would like to play it. I enjoy theory crafting with the professions and this is definitely not a game that supports this in an affordable way.
At this time, I have ceased all gem purchases until I see what the April update brings. So far, I have not seen an “expansion’s worth of content” from the last three updates. With almost 9 months into the game, I would like to see one new end-game map, or at least a full embellishment of Southsun to make it a worthy destination.

The original cost of the game, nothing more. Will not spend money until there is phone support, in game GMs, and a public test server. Until then if I really need gems I trade gold in.
Anet has none of my money. When I bought the games, it stopped being my money. Some of it went to the stores as I bought the physical version both time and the rest to Anet.
But I know you are asking how much I have/am spending on the game. Only the purchase price of two copies, one for me and one for my daughter. Right now I would love to spend some and buy lottery tickets for the dyes, but I have more dire needs for the money.
The initial game purchase + $50, $20, $20 and $10 = the game plus $100 AU
About $700-800, though I haven’t spent anything since December.
Most of that money was spent during initial release but then I realized that I could make gold at a fast enough rate that I wouldn’t need to pay real $ anymore.

I don’t know exactly but it’s about £100 in total.
I bought the Digital Deluxe edition on the first day of pre-purchase, so that was about £65. After that I’ve bought 2 sets of Halloween minis, some gems to convert to gold to convert to materials for Consortium Chests (that one worked out well, I got a mini Karka for less than it cost on the TP), 2 Wintersday minis and the SAB minis. Oh and a character slot when they were on 20% discount. And I have 600 gems left over.
“Life’s a journey, not a destination.”
Around $ 200.00 bucks or more , everything from bank tabs to bags and costumes . I don’t plan on spending anymore money until they get better items in the gem shop .
I got $30 worth of gems from xmas gift cards and $25 worth trading in some old console games so technically I have only spent the original $60 of my own money. I did also buy a few gems using in-game gold for fine transmutation stones when gems were much cheaper.
I’ll probably trade in some more games and get more gems before the next gen of consoles come out and tank the values. This game is still cheaper than console gaming and being an mmo addict saves me tons of money from having a life

$60 for the game and showing no signs of increasing. Hard for me to spend money for something in-game knowing that it could go towards something more useful in real life :P
Not bashing anyone, just saying why I don’t do that anymore.
$60 box + $10 gems early on for a bank tab (I’m a hoarder).
I’ve been debating whether to drop another $10 on the gem store, probably for a 6th character slot. I’ve gotten plenty of enjoyment out of the game, way more than $70 worth, but I also don’t like some of the directions the game is going (Ascended gear in particular, not a big deal now but if they do full armor + weapons, I’m going to be unhappy). So I’m holding off for the moment.
I didn’t have any problem to spend 50 bucks per month… but after the ascended gear fiasco I stopped buying gems.
Hm I’ve bought tons of bank slots, I can’t see buying the bag slots since its per char but meh. Not like ill stop spending anyways.
The original base game cost, and £8.95 for one lot of gems (ran out of level 80 gear transmuter thingies.) Most of the stuff in the gem store has been…not overly appealing (although the new mining pick is tempting simply for convenience’s sake.)

$60 total just for the game. The gem store is the definition of useless crap I could care less about. Town clothes? Really? Town clothes?
RIP my fair Engi and Ranger, you will be missed.
i only spent mony for sab minis, i support good stuff in the game, and i support josh Foreman for his hard work and honesty with the player base.
i’ll never use the minis, but i invite you ll to do the same if you apriciated the cotent so we might see more!!
150Eur on CE, 20EUR on gems
I think I’m at box cost and an extra 20 bucks. For me, considering the value of the game, it’s no problem. I mean, let’s face it, I’ve spent more money on Skyrim and its DLCs and gotten fewer hours of enjoyment out of that (and I consider those hours totally worth it), so no problems here.
so many people crying in this thread about how they won’t spend a penny because of ascended gear or until anet fixes so-so. honestly now, first world problems. if you don’t like the game, why play it?
on topic: i bought some gems way back at launch, character slots and the like. i’ve invested in the pickaxe because it’s cool. i’d gladly invest in more skins if they could be used in pve, and not just town clothes stuff.
60$, I would have spent more but I’ve gotten lucky and obtained all my level 80 transmutation stones ingame.

Speaking with your wallet =/= crying. If a company does something that doesn’t please you or benefit you, you don’t spend money on them. It’s pretty basic consumer behavior and really has nothing to do with crying.

For me it would be 60$ for the game and then I have also bought 800 gems twice because I loved the Halloween event and Wintersday and wanted to show my support, and luckily for me those events offered some amazing costumes for 800 gems each and hardly anyone have them(at least I haven’t seen more than three people at max with them), so I get to be a specchul snowflake.

I bought the CE box, and approx $300 more on gems so far. I really don’t have much time to play so most of the time I buy gems to convert to gold. Only real gem store items I’ve bought were the bag+bank slots, the new pick, Valentines bouquet, and ~5-10 minis/keys/dyes here and there.
GW1 was a different story…pretty much bought all the skill packs and pet unlocks, all costumes that ever came out lol.
I spent the cost of the digital distribution back for BWE2 after seeing several videos of BWE1 and talking with some guildmates over their experiences. Add to that: I recently shelled out a little for a Molten Alliance Pick. Any other Gems have been bought through gold, not cash.
I have spent more on a couple iOS titles than on this game.
game + gems = $100
Playing the engineer “as intended” is simply not viable.
Not sure on the total, but the game price of $60, enough gems to cover all bank slots, 6 char slots, extra bag slots on the characters, and I continually buy gems to exchange for gold.
I like this game. So I am buying 50$ for 4000gems each month to support its development and I use them when I see Store item I want or I convert into gold a part when it’s interresting ratio.
