How they gonna merge WvW exp?
Yes, you need to log in every character that has WXP and it will be automatically added to you total account WXP.
It’s by total points, not by rank. The points are pooled and all characters have access to the entire pool to spend as they wish.
For instance, say your main has 70,000 points and your alt has 10,000 points. On the 15th they will each have 80,000 points.

BG: 52 alts, 29 lvl 80’s. They all look good, so I am done with the game: Oct 2014
WXP will be pooled just like currency: when you login to each character (after the update) that character’s WXP will be added to the account WXP pool. Your characters will then each have a world rank appropriate to the total WXP pool. So to give a simplified example, if you have two characters which are both Rank 5 (ie 5k WXP each), then after the merge they’ll both be Rank 6 (10k account WXP).
