How to find back the magic of GW2?
If you have done it all I advice you to stop playing the game for a few months and then play again. (Note: Log in once every two week just to unlcok LS chapters).

Depends on which part of the game you enjoyed most
If you’re solo, try finding a guild. Sharing the fun and helping people through the game is great fun for me.
It was such an amazing journey but all good things come to an end.
How should i find back this experience? or it has to be found somewhere else?
If you enjoyed this game, why don’t you try a game with an actual story like GW1.
My advice is to find another MMO to play, now let me explain. In recent months I’ve felt burned out by the game and getting tired of playing it so I decided to start playing some other games. I ended up getting Wildstar recently and was primarily playing that one for a month but as I played it I started getting peeved by some of the elements in the game.
To relive some stress I decided to play some more Guild Wars 2 and just a minute into it I remembered all the things I loved about the game. More social, encouraging cooperation, enjoyable world exploration, beautiful art style, and straight forward progression.
Now Wildstar is enjoyable but Guild Wars 2 just caters to me more and sometimes you just need some time away from the game to help remind you of it!
Take A Break!
I did, and tried various other things, including non-game fun, giving the Elder Scrolls Online a go* and generally just enjoying the rest of what life has to offer.
Now, about six months later, lured by the siren song of new content and, above all, content I can play and replay when I want to, rather than when ArenaNet dictates, I’m back and very much appreciating what GW2 has to offer.
It’s too early to say whether there’s enough to keep me logging in every day, or how long the new honeymoon will last, but there’s no doubt that with GW2, as with most things, absence makes the heart grow fonder.
And with the New Living World Order, time is no longer against us.
…
*ESO Verdict: I enjoyed it but canceled my subscription for now. It has strong potential but needs a LOT of work to be viable and justify a monthly outlay. I’m looking forward to improvements and plan to check back on their efforts later this year.

I dont know…
GW2 is a good game and it launched with tons of potential. I enjoyed it for a long time and wanted to make it my mainstay game. But after almost 2 years of seeing where Arenanet has and wants to take their game, I find it difficult to justify playing anymore.
GW2 is my sort of game where I can log and do what I want and log out. Theres no endgame, theres no rush for it, theres no rush to be the baddest or the best geared, or whatever.
However, where GW2 has faltered for me has been its emphasis on living story. In my humble opinion this was the wrong way to go, I never asked for 2 week updates nor did many. I feel that even with the new “catch up” system they put in, if I decided to get back into it 2 or 3 months down the line, or more, , I might be staring at a mountain of things to catch up on. It is discouraging.
I want to log and play in zones I want to play in, not where the LS leads me. But even with megaserver, chances are those zones are still empty! I mean, who wants to complete run of the mill random DE chains in Timberline falls? No one. In the open world, other than the LS zone of the week, the world is still empty and lonesome and to see THAT potential wasted, the potential of players of all levels just completing content they’ve never seen before in random zones, is probably the most discouraging thing about it all.
The more things change (Living Story) the more they stay the same (abandoned open world).
GW2 is my sort of game, but the devs have sort of tainted it with Living Story. Its the one thing I wish would go away
Maybe then Id enjoy the game again. The way it was meant to be enjoyed.
I just want a big massive expansion pack. Give me something big and juicy to sink my teeth into for a few weeks or months. I want a big porterhouse steak. Instead, Anet is giving me a single jelly bean every two weeks…
Don’t get me wrong, the jelly bean is yummy, but it doesn’t sustain me the way a steak would.
To be honest, the new Dry Top map and the beginning of season 2 brought its magic back. An emphasis on storytelling, some refreshing takes at world exploration and a very immersive world, to the likes that I’ve barely seen since I left Divinity’s Reach and Queensdale/ Kessex Hills. There is a time where gameplay becomes highly repetitive in GW2, usually after 100% completing 2-3 maps, and where the story gets fragmented into insignificance. Dry Top is, IMO, a back to the form, and even an improvement of the early experience.
But if that satisfies you or not depends on what each one of you is looking forward to.
I do agree that the game is in a desperate need for more skills, weapons, races and professions. Characters feel old at this points in time, and no amount of new maps seems to take that feeling away. If it wasn’t for me focusing on alts, I’m not sure if I would have found Dry Top to be as refreshing – I can’t stand my main character anymore, after 2 years of the same gameplay experience. How a new weapon set would be great!

This is really one area that I take people to task on the need for a “big massive expansion pack.” Because let’s be honest… that’s NOT how it works.
Traditional expansion packs tend to play out as, “Every eighteen months or so I get about 4 months of enjoyment, then I complain I’m bored for the rest of the year.” I am not particularly convinced it gives a more fulfilling experience for longer.
Does that make the living story better? Not particularly (especially since Arena.net has yet to prove they can deliver an “expansion” worth of content through the living story)… it’s just different.
But let’s not pretend expansions are steak. It’s just getting the bag of jellybeans at once.
How about a small bag of jelly beans on top of a small piece steak.
So much talk about expansion vs 2 week releases.
What I would like to see is them combining the two.
Release the small Dry Top map with 3 extra skills per profession or a new weapon for each profession. Or…
Release Dry top, with an extra fractal map, branch the lore with an extra dungeon, add 3 new skills.
Options are endless.
Best of both worlds for casuals and hard core gamers?
P.S. As for any more Mario Bros style jumping in this next release …
If you have done it all I advice you to stop playing the game for a few months and then play again. (Note: Log in once every two week just to unlcok LS chapters).
Best bet. GW2 will still be here. Go out find something else to keep yourself busy with and when that starts getting stale give GW2 another shot.
