On my guardian I have unlocked everything apart from anything from the dragonhunter elite specialisation but I only have 18 unspent hero points, and the wiki says that the only way to aquire them is from levelling up or the hero challenges- but I’m already level 80.

Earning 1 hero point for every challenge around the map would take ages, and I don’t think that there is enough so what do I do? Is it because my skill points were converted as I was level 80 before HOT??

Go to Hot maps, there hero challenges are worth 10 hero points.

Oh ok thanks, do the silverwaste ones count? And in maguuma jungle I cant see any on the map

Yes the SW ones count.
In the Maguuma jungle you won’t see any until you are close by to uncover that map part. (actually you won’t see any HP, POI, Heart or Vista until you uncover the part of the map it’s in and get close enough to them anyway, anywhere in the maps)

They all count, it’s just the Tyria maps are 1 pt, the Maguuma maps are 10 pts (but harder to get).

Just as a point of order, it does not take long to run around the maps on a level 80 picking up all the points if that’s the only thing you do. It helps if you have an idea of where they are before you start, but it’s not entirely necessary. I did it on a couple characters and it only took an afternoon per character.

You will also need a total of 250 points, that’s 25 maguuma hero points, to totally unlock the elite spec. Some of those points are locked behind masteries that will take a while. Many of them are timed fights with champions that will require a group. You might be better off grabbing as many single points as you can to lower the amount of Maguuma points you’ll have to pick up.

Lastly, SilverWastes points count are core Tyria, not Maguuma, so one per, not ten.
