Message for Arenanet Team.
Number 1! I always said: Dear Anet, please, increases the guild decorations area! Every time I hate the message: Too many decorations in this area!
Number 2! Don’t leave the special items from vendor: Pumpkins, snow piles and so on..
Number 3! there are Raid decorations, Why not Dungeon decorations? One per Dungeon ac, cm and all.
Number 4 (the most important)! To review the decorations prices from scriba. For Example The “Potted blue Orchid” is 165g of rare flower seeds.
Number 5! Remove, please, “upgrade” of the decorations. For example the “Hedge Pillar” Need Hedge planter-> Crafted from Ceramic planter, and more 3 Spire Topiares->Crafted from 3 Sphere Topiares-> Crafted From basic shrub. (9 finishing Kit!)
Number 6! Increases the guild decorations. There are a lot of decorations in all of the world!

So, some thoughts on your thoughts Masuta

Point 1: It would be nice. But I believe they have done this once already and still point out not everyone is on a computer that can handle the Guild Hall without this restriction. They’re using caution. (From my understanding)

Point 2: Nothing quite like a Time Locked, and in many of the cases of the items you use as example, once per year ability to buy these things. Nothing quite like saving T6 snowflakes all year to buy snow at the holiday. Just makes us horde more.

Number 3: This appears to be a direct example of Point 6. I second this. It would be kind of neat if they could take something iconic from each dungeon, oh, they could even make it take a combine item that required dungeon tokens that was account bound to put more burden on the scribe! (See Gifts of Exploration for the Globe)

Point 4: They did this too, but they did not check everything. Or if they did they decided that it was fine. The downside to a lack of communication about the finer points is one can only assume that “Everything is Fine” no matter how much the grim reality hurts.

Point 5: I think this one is the problem with it being a player crafting profession. Instead of needing to make Tier specific items to act as the material/gold sink? They just used the prior item. It was probably a faster way to daisy chain a progression together than the alternatives. Do I understand from that perspective? Sure. Does taking 20 minutes to make a top end combine feel good? No.

Point 6: This. 100% Yes. The downside of course is if it is as hard to add space in the Guild Decoration Storage as it is to add to our personal material storage? Then I can understand the glacial speed of getting new things. Again, armchair assumptions based upon Technical Issues and not malice on the behalf of the Devs.

Would I like to see assets like the Kiel and Evon banners? Sure.
Dungeon specific assets? Just one per maybe? Just to say ‘hey, we did play this’
Mini-Pet leash in the hall where a given Mini can be “Imprinted” and wander in a chosen boxed off area? Certainly.
Racial statues that we could dress up with unlocked skins and classes? Would be a lark.

But then the grim reality comes crashing down. How many of us are actually doing Guild Hall Decorating? I walk through my Hall and I wonder who else does this. Who else enjoys this. Are we a minority?

I dunno. I love your suggestions though.

I would like the decoration overall cap to be increase. Guild hall is so big yet the cap limit is too low to deco it.

From what I understand, they haven’t increased the limit cap again because it causes lag/rendering issues for older/lower end computers. I don’t mind seasonal items only being available from season to season. It makes them special, and gives people more goals to complete during holiday events. I couldn’t agree more that the recipes need another going over. If I could more cheaply create large walls, without having to use an inordinate amount of pillars and materials, it would make my guild’s hall look far more lived in and less like an empty temple. I wouldn’t mind new decorations, and it seems like they’re adding them slowly. We recently got WvW siege, for example. And before that we got writable gravestones and signs.

All of these are good points, but,

I find the placement system much worse than the decorations themselves:
- No rotating (besides on one axis) or scaling.
- Collisions are always either on or not implemented, no toggle etc.
- No isometric view so everything is warped by perspective.
- No grid.

These things alone make decorating extremely frustrating,- and if you fixed them, people would be able to do a hundred times more beautiful scenery with the existing decorations than they already have.

Look up “terraining” in other games to see what I mean.

Spot on. Quite annoying to allign stuff right next to eachother. Also you cannot rotate/move existing decoration without having to remove them in first place.

Can we get flags / banners that actually display the guild insignia? That’d be nice.
