How to make money if I have no talent at all?
Farm Plinx Event.. oh wait ….
Honestly, I make enough just by playing the game (exploring the zones as I encounter them, completing heart quest, etc). If you’re already max level and still are unsure, I’m sure some quick googling could help you out. There’s not really a secret to being better at this game, some just understand it in less time. The more you play and get comfortable with crafting and dungeons, the more it will all start to click.
Or just play away.
I don’t think you need a very high amount of cash all the time. I just hop on, run around and do stuff, then I find that I slowly rack up money (I sell everything to vendors. EVERYTHING!)
If you want even more gold, then just look at what’s selling on AH, then level your profession to that point, then play normally. When you get mats, make that item, over, and over, and over.
Don’t focus too much on it though. You should worry about having fun and finding whatever is fun for you to do. If you grind too much, you won’t have fun playing.
Here’s stuff you can do while just playing normally…
Don’t craft unless you have a clear reason to do it. Crafting is great as a mechanism for turning gold into XP, but it’s seldom actually profitable.
Pick up everything. I know this is really obvious, but it’s always good to check, you know. Turn on autoloot because you’ll never not want to pick up an item.
As you run around the map, gather all the ore, wood, and food materials. It’s like free XP and money just sitting right there on the map, and takes only seconds to collect. You can sell the gathered stuff you don’t need (all of it, if you’re not doing crafting) on the TP. Right-click on the stack of materials, click “sell,” then just accept the default lowest listed price (second radio button); or you can use the top order price (first radio button) if you need some cash in a hurry.
When you see a dynamic event, try to join in. You’ll get XP and cash and karma for participating, even a little.
When you’re just running around exploring a zone, try to do map completion. You’ll usually get an item and a big stack of crafting materials (i.e. free money) based on the zone’s level.
Do your daily. Play the game doing things in combat zones (it really doesn’t matter which). Sell the stuff you loot. Don’t spend money. Have Fun™!
Yeah, as a casual player you won’t get rich quick (any more than you do in real life by normal means) but over time you will get money. You don’t need more than pocket change for most things, you can spend karma instead in some cases if you want to save money. Just play, progress, and you’ll start accumulating gold in time.
If you’re not a crafter, you could do lots of gathering and sell excess materials on the trading post – doesn’t need to be any complex economics, just gather stuff (it’ll get you exp anyway) and then sell it in bulk. Someone will want it.
Also… don’t be so hard on yourself!
You guys have been trolled.
Just find your way out into a lonely forest and hang yourself from a tree.
(There’s a great spot in Gendarren Fields.)
Go dance with trolls in lvl 40-50 areas. Cut down their trees. Bring miners some beer…get them drunk. Take their moldy bags. Swim with the nasties while sneaking their platinum.
Just do stuff…
Also… WvWvW…. great for farming gear, trees, weeds and not so shiny ores.
Just have fun.
It’s a game…. PLAY! When you get good … play hard.
IDoes anyone have any idea how to make money that any bad players can easily do?
Buy a copper mining pick.
Farm copper.
Sell at TP for buy order price.
A stack nets you 30 silver.
It is not the fastest way, but also not the slowest. It is extremely easy and guaranteed.
Once you learn how to kill lvl 1 mobs, you can start farming gold and mithril.
I personally don’t go for primordium, but whenever I’m in Orr, I farm all minerals I can find and sell them. That nets me a lot of money. If lucky with node spawns, I can easily make 2g on an hour of very normal play.
