They’re leftovers from before the current item nomenclature system came into play. Evidently the devs created a new item/made all new drops of this item come prefixed with their stat combo identifier.
Those weapons are only useful for novelty value, now. if you want one, buy it. if you want one to sell at those hilariously inflated prices… too bad.
Mostly from enemy mob drops. The chances of getting higher rarity drops increases if your magic find is higher. It will also depend on your level since you cannot get rare items below a certain level.

I’m talking about the basic ones, which only have 1-2 listings for them each, the ones aptly named “Sword” and nothing else with green/yellow name worth 40-80g each
as far as I know these are only obtainable at level 80

Why would you want one? I doubt anyone would buy it on the TP and they’re in no way superior to other rare equipment of the same type.
