How to open 2 Clients at the same time?
No, as far as I know.
It’s perfectly legal to multibox, but the software available out there that allows this may do something to the game that is illegal and bounds for a ban.
The closest thing you can do is set up a virtual box and run the client there, but it’s not exactly efficient.
Not sure why you want to do this either, cause it can be extremely laggy even with a beast computer.
GW2 is heavily CPU reliant and unless you somehow have a 6.0 ghz CPU it’s going to be a terrible experience.
Best alternative is to have a 2nd computer/laptop available, or even a Surface Pro.
I have a 8 core processor so I guess it will be fine. And no I dont have a 2. PC thats why Im asking. In my previous MMORPG it was no problem to run multiple clients from the same computer. I dont understand why its not possibly (or at least not that easy) to do this in GW2.

Because GW2 only uses one processor at a time and it uses the primary core only. You cannot run 2 clients at the same time on one PC.

Can surface pro really run the game?

You can set the each of the GW2 processes to a different CPU affinity but that wouldn’t help until actually have two GW2 processes running.
I recently bought a 2. GW2 account since I needed a “anchor” for ressource farming.
Is there any way to open multiple clients at the same time WITHOUT using additional programms?
I don’t have any information for the question at hand, but was curious about what this meant?
With the Megaserver system it has become impossible to gather Ori or Ancient Wood with multiple characters since you will get placed on a different server everytime. The only possibility is to have a “Anchor” , a player who is willed to stay on the map for the length of the gathering process (which can take up to 1 hour if you have 8 characters or more). But most of the time you wont find anyone willing to do so or at least not for free.
for the money you spent on a second account, you could’ve bought gems→gold→Ori/Ancient and saved yourself a few dozen hours of tedious farming.

I have read here and there that you can run it on Surface Pro – just gotta make sure you have low settings and be especially careful near zergs.
Keep in mind that it will not work on Surface RT
without an extra application, I don’t think so. But with one, absolutely. And even completely legal, as long as you only play one character at the time (so, one keystroke/mouse event only acts on one character).
I am not behind my pc, but Google is your friend…

Ah, I see. Thank you for the explanation.

I can buy 1600 Gems with 20 Euro, which will be about 100-120g ingame. But i need more than thats and thats why im farming. Anet killed most of my ways to make gold: Champtrain and Lootmania on Cursed shore are nerfed, crafting and TP flipping have become extremly hard with all those people turn away from champtrains and doing the same, World events Taco and the Karkaqueen are unplayable for me since the Megaserver patch. So the only ways that are left are material farming and quick dungeon runs.
Hell I used to earn 80g per day in 3-6h. Now i would need at least 16h to do so.
Even googling, I couldn’t find the answer for you.

I don’t know whether my suggestions is allowed, but you can do it using a virtual machine.
Basically you use software such as VirtualBox (free) or VMware to create a “virtual” second computer within your machine. You can dedicate 4 cores of your 8 core processor to it and be just fine on processing. I’m assuming because of LAN and NATing behind routers that GW2 will accept two connections from the same IP as long as they are for different accounts/sessions.
You could then run the VM with your 2nd client, and run the main client on your physical PC. This does use more resources than being able to run 2 gw2 processes (because of the resources needed to run the Virtual OS), but the segmentation of resources is clear cut and controllable. Plus for all intents and purposes this VM is seen as a separate machine.
Again I don’t know if it is a violation of the ToS or not, you would have to ask Anet about that. I’m just laying out how you can run two clients on one physical machine. There are countless guides on how to setup a VM, and it isn’t that hard. Main thing is make sure you don’t dedicate too little resources to either the VM or your phyiscal PC, or you will crash your computer.
EDIT: I don’t think that this is a violation, however, since it is the same as multiboxing. Plus an application cannot tell that it is running in a VM anyway, so I don’t think that they know/care if the client is running on a VM.
