Joke aside, you can easy play GW2 hardcore mode by taking all your gear off.
This advise is for everyone who feels that the game is too faceroll.
Works wonders. I tried. And remmeber, to make it more difficult is entirely up to us. Reverse is not working.

Ranger was the first class I played, and is still my main after almost three years.
Honestly, the Ranger is a VERY underestimated class. It’s true that they give little party boosts in the form of boons, but they are very lethal with and offensive Longbow setup at 1500 range. More than once I killed thiefs before they could even reach me with Rapid Fire + Quickening Zephyr. The damage output of that combo is just rediculous.
Shortbow is good for close range kiting if you like to keep using a ranged weapon. And Sword+Dagger gives you, like what, 3 evasions?
There are tons of ways to succesfully play a Ranger, be it PvE, PvP or WvW
Long story short: If you think Ranger is bad, you just can’t play that class. Not saying you’re bad at the game in general, the class is just not for you.
Hard mode is just running around without my chest piece, being the GW2 equivalent of Rambo. You should try it, it’s fun.

Ranger? Hard? Admittedly I have been working on a new character the past few weeks but my ranger is the only one of my characters that actually has FUN in the SW rather than dying after about 5 minutes.

Necro is easy. Their massive health lets them face tank nearly anything in the game.
If you want hard, try engi. Gotta play Mozart on your keyboard to be effective with that class.
