Guild Wars 2 API has a bunch of statistics that websites can use, for example this site:

How do I find out what gold value my material storage, dye collection or wardrobe has?

If you create an account on GW2E with your API code it will show you the value of your material storage and such. Once set up follow the account link and you can see wallet, bank material storage etc and their current value.

Edit: GW2E is my favorite GW2 related site by far. It’s great for crafting complex items, finding things on your account if you forgot where you placed them via the search feature, and a lot of other helpful things. The people that put this site together have done a great job. Also don’t forget to enter their lottery, they give away a lot of stuff mostly once a month but this month is a daily Easter lottery.

https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/API:Main has a reference to the API, but….

…gw2efficiency is what calculates the “value” of your account. It’s not something that ANet have defined, it’s just the idea that the authors of that third party website have of the value of it.

(Which is based on things like the cost of all the unlocked skins, etc, that you have on the account, so it’s a reasonably accurate estimate of the gold cost to get another account in the same place, but … it’s still a third parties idea of value.)
