How to track all the events in a map?
The events on a map are random unless you are talking about HoT maps, they reset after the meta-events. Event timer on gw2 wiki show you when the HoT meta event are about to reset. Some event chains only get push if someone start it after a meta-event. So if you are waiting for the blighted tree to get that legendary item you have to start the event chain yourself and tag-up to get people to help with it.

It was once possible to track all events using the API, but that was lost when they implemented megaservers. There is currently no way to see them, but you can see the nearest one to you by limiting the content guide to events, which requires 100% map completion.
You can find timers for world bosses because those events occur at fixed times.
The last game I played that had dynamic events, you could open your map and it would show every event going on in the zone. Man, do I miss that. Much of the time in this game, there will be an indication there is a nearby event but no indication where. Why bother to tell me if you aren’t going to tell me where? Running around aimlessly trying to find the event and it’s done by the time you find it, if you ever find it. So frustrating. I don’t bother looking for them anymore.
There are a few events that do have map indicators- why can’t this be done for all of them?
Being able to see all active events on a map would be a massive quality of life boost.
