As the title reads, which is more valuable? The ‘653-727’ weapon damage on a weapon, or the the stats on it? Also how does equipping it, and keeping a weapon sewap set, effect your overall attack power?

Each game is different. In diablo 3 the weapon damage was EVERYTHING. In WoW, it hardly mattered at all. Just curious where the value should be placed here.

Example:

Weapon A:
100-200 damage
10 power

Weapon B:
75-125 damage
25 power
10 precision

Which is better?

Also, do my stats increase if I have a weapon swap equipped? i.e. will stats increase if I have a second set equipped?

I’d take the higher damage one.
If the stats were:
100-200 damage
10 power
vs.
80-180 damage
25 power
10 precision
then, Id take the stats over damage.

It’s easy to test. The ultimate damage attribute will be your Attack power, the one right above your critical chance number, on your Hero window. Switch weapons and check for changes on that number.

I do think weapon damage has a bit stronger role on the damage math than the power attribute itself.

Also, all bonuses given to you by a weapon are only active while you have that weapon set active. As soon as you switch weapon sets, your bonuses from the now inactive weapons, vanish.

Hm interesting. I guess tests are indeed in order.

Hard to find weapons that the damage is higher but stats are lower.

If you were testing the effect of weapon damage, you’d need to adjust your armor at the same time, to control the influence of power/precision etc.
