I enjoyed reading your plans for 2013 and while it did answer some questions, it also raised others.

Specifically, skills. The article mentioned skills and traits being added and I have no illusions about traits, it’s the part about skills that’s so frustratingly vague. Will skills be added to existing weapon sets by expanding the number of skills? Will new weapons be added to the game? Will professions gain access to more weapon sets already in the game? Or will weapon sets not be added, just utilities? Stuff like that.

Could you clear things up for me, please?

I don’t want to wait 1, 2 or 3 more months before this is implemented, i want them NOW… Playing with same crap for a year doesn’t just get old but annoying. Give me new stuff and its better be more than “take these three new skills and the rest will come out in 6 months” BS.

Fact: every Thief tells you to “l2p” when the subject is to nerf stealth.

We don’t know yet. That’s all the info they’ve released so far.

They could just add new utility/elite/healing skills.
They could add additional weapons (or give classes access to current weapons)
They could give each #2-5 multiple options for each weapon.
They could add new #2-5 skills and let us choose from a pool of weapon skills.
Or any combination (besides the last two).

They did mention that we’d learn them by “unlocking them,” if that’s tied to the current system or something new, again we don’t know. We won’t know anything until a blog post (or LS update) involves this. On the plus side, we have the new skills, the new crafting, and the magic find rework to all happen before the end of the year, so maybe 1/month.

I have no idea how will they implement new skills and traits, but I can give them an idea that Anet will like….

…put them in black lion chests

Hopefully, unlocking our new skills isn’t going to be something along the lines of “500 laurels + 100 ectos for X skill.”

I sure hope whatever way they implement, its going to be challenging, and not just challenging in a RNG or time-sink sense.

Something like for example, give DEs its own dungeon-like reward system. And then make some of the best skills be unlock-able by doing some difficult events like Temples to gather their specific tokens to buy them.

I’m more concerned about whether we get to wield more weapons or not than utilities.

Looks more like it will be like 500 SP considering how many they are handing out right now. On the other hand they are mean to be different rather than ‘better’ there is no reason they should cost more than the current ones.
