I remember a year ago playing every content that gw2 could offer me without any problem, from huge zerg fights to world bosses my ping was stable or sometimes a bit average (180-220ping). Now if i a zerg starts a fight in wvw i get 1400 ping even if the groups have low numbers (no zergz 50+) and world bosses are impossible for me to do anything other than auto attack since i get like 400+ ping and can’t tell when i have to dodge or else. I can play with normal (50-80)ping pvp ,fractals, dungeons and when i soloing in empty maps in pve, but as soon a large pack is near ping rise and when that pack starts to use skills the game is unplayable. When the wvw servers merged some time ago i decided to use that free server change, so from underworld i migrated to seaferer’s rest and only after some month i started to see this latency increase and also have stoped with wvw. I am starting to lose interest in the game since for me wvw now is impossible to play and same with the most important pve metas, what is the problem here can someone explain ?

Are you using the in-game ping notification? Because that doesn’t really tell ping, but how much time it takes to process the data and send it back.

Or, are you using something like ping-plotter?

Me and some of my guild friends are having the same problem. It started around the last update. A lot of lag, even disconnections on high visited maps (Doric, at the time). Yesterday I even had lag problems while doing this episode story, inside Caudecus house.

This is only happening on this game, my brother plays Battlefield when I’m at work and he says everything runs smoothly for him. My PC is a good one and almost never had problems with the Internet connection.

I remember there was a thread on this forum about the same high ping and horrible lag following another update.

I don’t use external device since there is no need to tell when the game runs smooth and when it freezes for seconds.
