I think people have legitimate concerns. Personally I don’t have enough game time to care about the little stuff. I get a couple of hours to play and I’m happy. If I were unemployed or living in my mother’s basement, etc, basically having unlimited time to spend I might sweat things like botting or lack of content, but as a casual player not coming anywhere near a content ceiling I’m also happy. It’s just a matter of perspective. As a long time mmo player, one who once had 24 hour sprees in EQ1 I can relate to those folks. As has been expressed by so many, with no subscription there’s no feeling of being ripped off for me. I’ve already got my box price back in spades in entertainment.

Yep, that is the gaping flaw in the “vocal minority” argument…

There are bots everywhere in queensdale on my server – roaming bands of 10-20 of them at a time, same pattern, for WEEKS, and Arena Net does nothing.

The event on the hill where the water pipes is has been glitched for WEEKS, where 40+ bandits are just standing around, annihilating everyone who comes close.

GW2 has been a tremendous disappointment as Arena Net shows they just don’t care and let botters, gold spammers and glitches run rampant and they do nothign about it.I guess the saying is true: No monthly fee = Company doesn’t care and doesn’t keep game updated/clean.

Goodbye all, I had high hopes for this game, but it sucks kitten Epic fail, bioware.

I’ve seen bots. Not so much that it makes playing the game impossible, but they’re around, and they’re obvious. It’s a real issue.

Re ‘Lack of endgame’ – sorry to be uncharitable, but whenever I see this complaint, it seems to be from people who want to be rewarded from slavishly spending four hours a day or more on the game by being given some kind of elite power that they can then show off to other people and use as an excuse for being all puffed up. If you want more out of PvE after getting to level 80, start a new character, pick a different story path and set yourself some new limitations, like “I won’t use waypoints” or “I’ll team up with other players whenever I come across them and offer to help them out with their personal quests.”

some folks really do play beyond what health dept is advising.

i have 115h since 1 week after launch.
thats about 15-20h a week..
im level 55.
no wvwvw,
barely no pvp.
only 1 dungeon.

this game for me is going to be very long.
i might actually never see the end.
i think some of the freak gamers will change game, and some will stay.
but definitely GW2s future isnt in the hand of these peeps.

I find these forums really negative. My husband has never been on here and he has been 80 for a couple of weeks now and enjoying himself thoroughly- totally oblivious to all the QQ going on here.
I must be a masochist because I still visit the forums but I have found some useful info among all the bile.
It is a whole other story in game, thank the six gods!

As a percentage of players, very few players actually post to forums. Those that do are often making a complaint. Most players who are enjoying the game are playing the game. It’s just human nature. Though I fail at this, my MMO game rule is: Never read the forums.

Another big assumption is that the forums somehow represent the majority of the population playing the game.

I think it’s a mistake to project the % of yay/nay sayers on the forums across the entire player base; especially when you consider what was said above.

People have defintely left the game, no denying that.

GW2 is a great game in alot of ways but once you reach 80 its anticlimatic after a few days.

DAOC only took a few days to max level but i could play that toon for years without getting bored!..

Some lessons to be learned here, hopefully before its too late,

Furthermore, getting RR5 might take a month, thats all you really need for effective pvping.
