Guild Wars 2

Well not really. I have been playing since shortly after release. After all this time I decided to make my Necro my main. I love the play style but I had nothing ascended for a long time.

After what….like three years I find fractals and get ascended accessories. Yummmy. Then teq drops me 2 ascended weapon chests and TT drops me one. I am hooked so I make a couple others.

I wait and wait and wiat for RNGesus to drop me ascended armor chests…and I wait…and I wait some more. POO! Nothing >:

I have never really been a crafter in any MMO but decide to farm and make ascended chest a few nights ago, make a little gold and then some pants tonight. Problem is it broke me and I want shoulders.

I just emptied many of my bank slots of high price items because I am broke… like 5 gold. Good news is after sales come through I can make shoulders. Though I will have to buy everything cuz now I am super-hooked

So I was thinking I will need boots, hands and mask. This is gonna take so serious farming but I am hoping maybe a kind ANET folk will “drop” them to me (hint hint)

Well I know that won’t happen but it brought some satisfaction to be getting a little better geared and having fun as of late. So much disappointment spread through these forums I just wanted to post a little positive.

Thanks for sticking up for me! Some people see everything as negative. Yes I am broke…but I have found a new passion in the game. With account bonuses and such recovery will be easy

The thread title might as well be “why you shouldn’t bother with ascended gear”. Wish getting armor and weapon wasn’t such a pain when trinkets can be gotten fairly easily and from multiple sources too.

But in other news, I haven’t crafted ascended light armor because damask. :S So cheers on your accomplishment.

I kinda get this. For a very long time I was always broke because I crafted. But I did not mind, I had goals and the game was never boring. Getting one piece of armor or a weapon done took effort, but not too much.

Then came the Guild Halls and I have been even more broke since then. While I am very proud of our little guild’s advancement and it feels great to get every upgrade, I am waiting for the day I can be broke for myself again.

I am not planning on clothing all my 17+17+3 characters in Ascended. Not in the short run anyway. Trying to get two sets of each weight class/account for the paid ones and one set each for the freebie.
