I Wish Rewards Scaled to Level
Funny, but the last time I checked getting a level 76 item in a level 1-15 zone, meant the rewards were scaled to your level.
The content should be the reward… not the reward should be the content.
If you find lower level stuff unrewarding, don’t do it.
I don’t run around in lower zones because I’m looking for loot… I’m looking for fun, and sure enough, I find it.
Don’t do it? Yet they’re “forcing” the player to move zones, but if it’s not rewarding why would you want to move zones?
I’ve been getting level 75+ gear from low level events and chests, and most green and rare drops are scaled to my level too.

IF they aren’t increasing the rewards why bother lowering your level?
EDIT: And apparently drops scale to level, though I never saw it, I always got really low level drops when playing in low level zones.
They aren’t forcing players to do anything… they are discouraging players from farming the same events over and over again. Players can continue to do them forever if they wanted… it’s the potential lack of reward that stops them. In other words, it’s their choice to stop. ArenaNet didn’t stop them. The fact that players farm certain events suggests that they are willing to travel to get their rewards. Again, no one has forced anyone to do anything.
You do the dungeons untill they aren’t rewarding for your level. You can also do what you suggested and if you’ve outleveled a dungeon hit it up one time for that shakespearean story that was written by an eight year old. I could also dare to say you can hit up a lower dungeon to help a friend or guildie and you’re not just one shotting grey mobs while the rest of the group sacrifices fun to be carried. Its fine the way it is.

Meh I’m lvl 47 and nothing in game to my knowledge told me the next dungeon was lvl 40, so now I feel dumb for having to spend 40 minutes for half a level.
If you’re auto locked from gaining loot from doing a specific event or using a certain style of gameplay. Then it’s Anet telling you by force that you’re not allowed to be in this specific area for a certain duration of time. Prevention of drops by grind? Sounds like they’re forcing their way of how they want us to play the game. If they want to discourage me of doing it then add a better system that doesn’t prevent me from gaining anything, but causes me to obtain less. But I’m against that as well as I like to play the game how I want too, not how they expect me to.

Actually you get in game mails inviting you to each dungeon the moment you become the appropriate level. The mail even includes a button that shows you where it is on the map.
