This is not an I quit thread.

I am bored like I have never been before!

This is not because of the content, nonono, I am even actually starting to enjoy the content.

I am bored because of the players! If you run dungeon with low-skilled players I can get mad at their averageism, but that’s understandable.
If I run with highly skilled players, I get bored because all they do is find the most efficient way to run through the dungeon, to finish it as fast as possible but not in the way the developers intended it.
In some cases it makes sense, if you want to go for a speedkill (DS guild downed Lupi in 26s), but in most other cases it is just killing the fun!
For example I get bored when:
-meleeing subject alpha against a wall so that he does not touch you
-LoS-ing & out-ranging mobs and bosses
-staying on a safe spot, nullifying the pressure from the encounter’s mechanic
You get the idea, I hope.
There are very little rewards in this game, so why play the easy way that brings nothing at the end and nothing on the way?
What is the point of this? It makes the game less fun!
What I find most rewarding in this game is being able to master the encounters the way they are meant to be played.
It’s great to be efficient and optimized, but it should not mean avoiding all the difficulty.
Is there really no one looking for a challenge?

By the look of it, everyone’s Bored!

The content is too easy, not scaled…
Players are forced to be casual as no point of being hardcore.

For me, the last time i had a challenge in this game, was on the Clocktower JP. That kitten made me rage…

Is there a chance that the ArenaNet will stop produce mini-games, make players to farm resources and will release a worthy update with complicated PVE content?
Last update very much like Sonic on Dandy from 90’s.
And we dream that there will be a complex, multi-level dungeon for which you will gather a good team and a lot of training.
In the mini-games and “fractals” I can play on an any flash-game site.
PS. I specifically asked around in the guild who is working on the achievements of the last patch – out of 44 active respondents in teamspeak only three. Boring.

Sadly this. A-Net creates content around casuals and still didn’t get that it’s the challenging / hardcore content which keeps players playing. There is no content besides high level fractals, where you actually need oranized gameplay to succeed. At the point you have full gear every world-map gets boring.
I remeber back in GW1 when they introduced HM. That was a challenge. You had to be coordinated to succeed/survive. But well, that’s the past.

They could still put in a HM. Make it a harsh downleveling option. Unless there are increased rewards for doing so, how many would play in HM though?

Yep, I’m one of the very few, it seems, that prefer guild runs simply because I can request a full run and not a speed run without getting booted.

I don’t like joining a group for X path and feel like my whole job is to follow as closely as I can while we sprint through everything, stack on this one exploit spot, jump here, jump there, all the while it is obvious this wasn’t the intended mechanic and we skipped almost everything.

I won’t lie: there is a time and a place for speed runs. But sometimes I want to experience the entire dungeon, for, gee I dunno, fun, but nooooooo I’m the noob apparently if I don’t want to speed run literally everything.

Thank god for having a good guild with people that get what this game is all about, that’s all I can say.

I won’t stop because I can’t stop.

It’s a medical condition, they say its terminal….

What guild would that happen to be, btw? I’m new and am looking for a good guild…

Gold.

Rewards from different challenges can be bought (i.e. RNG items, precursors, etc..). You gear your characters with gold, you purchase consumables with gold, you finish achievements with gold (miniature collector, golden, etc..), you gain access to gemstore goods with gold, you win WvW with gold, and the list goes on. Currently there is no fun or efficient way to make a reasonable amount of gold aside from dungeons (or if you are talented enough to play the TP). Because people have bills to pay, they want to make gold as quickly as possible with the least amount of work involved.

Kill all the bosses as quickly as possible, collect your earnings and enjoy the game with your newly bought shiny.
