Since yesterday I have noticed about five people who “gather a node” and immediately disappear. I am guessing this is a warp of some type? It happens so fast after their last hit on a node it is ridiculous. Wherever they are going it is far enough away that I lose target on them as well.

Yes, that’s a bot. It sounds like a crowd of them. If you can invite to party you’ll be able to use the portrait to report them.

Yes these are bots. I havent seen any for a long time. If you click on them and then quickly r click on thier picture you can report them. Even if they dissappear the report window stays open.

Botters are pretty obvious though. They glitch and look like they are in the node while gathering it. Most people will run a few steps away from the node if they are going to log alts to farm it. And rarely will you see an alt at a regular node.

Lol, I remeber a few months ago I would see 3 or 4 of them at the same node at the same time.

I’ll report every time I can and let ANet sort it out. If they are real people, ANet should be able to tell.

More than likely, BOTs.

Click, Right Click Portrait, Report. This window stays open even after they leave. I usually wait until they leave to try to make sure I got a bot.

I realize this, but OP didn’t say anything about glitching. Just “people gather the node and disappear quickly,” from what I understood. That could easily be a bot or a camper. I’m just sayin that appear > gather >poof doesn’t always mean a bot.

It happened so fast I could not even report. I was not expecting the people to be botting. Also no other char was logged in for that node. I ran around the area trying to find the people that disappeared like that but was no one around me. Seems like warping of some type.

Interesting. I’ve never seen this phenomenon at resource nodes. On a humorous note, every time I let my seven-year old run around with my characters and kill things, I get reported multiple times for botting. lol

I bet Arena-Net is tired of getting bogus bot reports made on a real player…

I bet they’d rather have false reports than no reports.

Yes its a bot. They are becoming more and more sophisticated.

At the beginning it was a ranger doing laps with its bear. Nowdays they use speed/teleporting hacks. I’ve seen the ones you’ve seen and as you said it happens so fast that by the time you’ve gone ’what’s that? that’s strange, oh it’s a bot, I should report it!’ they’re gone.
