Guild Wars 2

I have made one of each and deleted them several times. I can’t for the life of me choose what I want. I need help. What do I use to pick which one I want to main?

How can I choose what I will like best? Is there some type of accurate personality test or something? I have been creating and deleting things all day, and my friend wants to level with me. Help!

Well, let’s start with a little about what you like personally.

What other games have you played? Is this your first fantasy MMO? If not, what do you usually play in your other MMOs? What do you enjoy doing most?

A little more detail would help.

Hmm, can’t decide what you want. Change a lot. Create, delete. Sounds like Skritt to me. Unfortunately you can’t play Skritt, so go for their cousins the Asura.

Oh and play thief. Why? Why not?

You could also decide first for a race and an armor level (light, medium, heavy -> http://www.gw2armor.com) and then have a look what could fit.

If that doesn’t help, write the profession names on papers and take one with your eyes closed and stick to that one for the next 40 levels.
You will get a much better feeling what prof is for you or not by playing them a lot more than it seems that you’ve done.

1. Make a character of each class

2. Find a buddy

3. PvP with/against him with each character

In PvP you are leveled up to 80 automatically, so it’s a really good measure of whether you’ll like the class throughout the game or not.

heh sinds awsome suggestion, someone could develop which gw2 character are you? in some way of multiple choice questions…

Make one of each:

Ele, Tief, Guardian

Which ever you like more of them will point you to what direction you may prefer:

Ele: Magic users, casters
Tief: assasin type / burst damage
Guardian: Melee or support types

Once that is done make the other classes that fall under that category and try them out
