I have a human war and guard. RP wise they are mid class brothers that worked there way up in rank.

I saved up and bought them both heavy human t3 armor and they both earned heavy SE dungeon armor.

I have also crafted duplicates of many vision weapons.

I see that for duplicate dyes, players are credited an unidentifed dye…but no mention of armor that has been bought duplicate times.

Any word on if players will be credited in anyway for duplicate skins?

I’m excited about the wardobe system, but feel bad for all of that wasted gold and time, hundreds of gold now gone.

I doubt anet would be willing to refund gold…maybe a good solution would be 5 free BL weapon tickets per dup skin, so we can get a new skin from BL weapon merch. Just a thought.

Although, then ppl would buy a lot of cheap dup skins. So I’m not sure how that would work.

I’m trying not to see it as “wasted gold and time.” I bought duplicates of armor in the Gem store as well (I bought a copy of Viper armor for both my ranger and thief, for instance), along with some more expensive armor like T3… but ultimately, I was able to use those armors for several months or more and that was worth it. Sure I could have saved a few bucks, but what I’m gaining with this update as far as customization far outweighs what I’ve lost, so I’m trying to be sanguine about it.

I spent over a thousand hours in PvP being awarded 200 rank points a win, a patch comes out and I was awarded 1,000 rank points per win.

Did I get compensation for my previous wins? Nope. That’s about what you’re going to expect for this as well; I doubt they will refund anything.

You are not loosing anything with this change-you are simply gaining the ability to use those armors on all you chars-and you dont have to spend trans charges to make them look like that on your mains.The gold isn’t wasted you dont magically loose your armors
-they are still there,stats and all.

I have earned three full sets of Arah heavy armor for my guard and 2 warriors.

Would it be nice to get something back for the time spent earning the extra sets? Sure, but if not I really don’t care. If wasting a bit of time earning extra dungeons sets that are useless once wardrobe is implemented is the trade-off for getting a wardrobe, it’s fine by me.

I hear what yall are saying, dont get me wrong, im happy.

Just thought it strange to credit people for dup dyes that are so common and easy to come by, while ppl that spend tons of time buying elite skins from T3/pvp/dungeons/gem store are just ignored.
