I would love to make a Skritt playable character. They crack me up visually and especially audibly. Would have a ball playing one.

Dude… skritt mesmer… uses a glamour skill and has a 15 sec stun while he examines the shiny effect

Yeah, they’re like the Skaven from Warhammer books. Funny as hell.

yes, Loumy, i used to play the warhammer pnp-rpg and we had an entire campaign based on the skaven.
great fun.

This reminds me of a Vernor Vinge novel.

Quaggan: no, too much hassle to implement animation wise due to their physique.
Skritt: would be funny but… pack mechanics. no.

Tengu and Kodan are the ones that I believe to be very valid and possible in the future.

You are not the first to want this race be playable and you are def NOT the only one. I am with you on this topic – the Skritt are just too cool. Shinies! I absolutly love the acting that was put into these characters.

Sadly if we could play the race we wouldn’t be able to hear our own skritt voice or act silly like them, unless Anet makes that part of the skills – ah yes that’s it! A skill that goes like this "we go, yes, no, yes? basically you muddle about for 5 seconds before attacking. :P

Oh oh and a “dig up treasure” skill pretty similar to the “pig” F2 skill that lets you find weapons to use but this skill provides – Treasure!

In particular, there is a skritt “collector” in Queensdale that cracks me up everytime.

Only if your character says increasingly dumber things the further away that fellow Skritt are. I’ll go to the corners of the map and laugh as my collective IQ sinks.

Tengu? HELL YES. I’m convinced that they will be the next playable race and already have plans for a Tengu Thief.

Skritt? HELL YES. I want to make her an Engineer and run around hurling junk, er, I mean grenades and elixirs, at people.

Kodan? I think they share too much of the same thematical role as Norn, but eh, if ANet introduces them as a playable race, I won’t mind. Kodan Guardian will be my choice if they get brought in.

I love the Skritt. I would play one. They would have some fun Elite skills. They could be like the
Lobber – you get a box of gears you throw and knock your back. Also does damage and knocks them down.
Boomer – Throws bottles that explode in AOE that burns like napalm.

I love watching them run around. There tail wiggle so cute. There pink noses and ears. So cute. A Skritt Thief would be fun.

I would want there racial armor to be bits and pieces of junk or scraps of fabric.

I think they would be fun but the Tengu are amazing and I want to play one.

I don’t see the skritt as a viable playable race because of the intelligence issue, but I am secretly hoping for Anet to make everyone a skritt for the day on April Fools.

I knew I wouldn’t be alone in this! I understand the intelligence issue, but my real world experience tells me that many times less IQ would make me much more effective in dealing with life’s obstacles . . .

I also agree Tengu would be good. The archer Swift Arrow (I think that’s his name) that is a skill challenge is one of the toughest 1v1 fights I have come across yet, so they have a dangerous reputation in my eyes, and look the part.
