I don't like this patch
Hah, that’s cute. You think you speak for most players.
In reality, your voice is the minority, because most players are playing the game and not trolling the forums.
This patch is utterly baffling.
People think thieves are too weak in PvE and too strong in PvP. Solution? Significantly nerf PvE thieves, do pretty much nothing to PvP thieves. Also this happens every patch.
People think warriors are absurdly strong in PvE and very weak in PvP. Solution? Buff PvE warriors and drastically nerf PvP warriors.
People think rangers are total garbage all around. Solution? Nerf them all around.
But at least we get one hour of living story content that is indistinguishable from a hundred forgettable personal story missions where you follow an NPC around, plow through a few packs of normal mobs while half asleep, then kill a couple veterans. Hooray? Woulda gotten a lot more mileage out of putting the new NPC hair/armor/weapon skins in the gem store and not bothering with the sleep-inducing mission stuff that people do one time to clear up the clutter on their UI, then forget about.

Yeah….are you saying that warriors were not destroyed this patch and Ele’s through Anet’s amazing plan have been slightly buffed themselves and have had a major passive buff from the quickness nerf. (one of the few sure ways to kill an ele)
As for as people playing rather than posting on forums? I would like to introduce you to my Tpvp Que and my over crowded HOTM.
^^
Warrior – Teined
Guardian – Nomoreroomformyname
I have really enjoyed all the patches. The thing anet did for smaller guilds and the training bounty was really cool. the NES Controller in Rata Sum is AMAZING. You hear me ArenaNet?! AMAZING! I can’t wait
Yes i’d like to say thank you too for the Ranger speed nerf and the Engi kit refinement nerf, both my mains, now i must look for something else to play…
To say we are the minority is false my whole guild felt ripples of anger yesterday, i only saw one player happy with the patch… Some are even leaving to other mmo’s…

Dude, Anet’s marketing peeps have to eat.
Buffs/nerfs in weird directions happens every patch so I am not concerned about that., but what “ruffles my jimmies” is the weapon skin added to the Black Lion chest. The skin does look nice but the odds are TERRIBLE. I think you would have better luck with a precursor in the mystic toilet than this.

basically whats happening and i find it pretty kitten
Put in new content that requires a time to do it: “OMG GRIND”
Put in some actual content: “Too little, want moar”

I’m not against Anet making money, i’ve bought gems, its the way they are making money bothers many, plus i’m not sure what that has to do with my post, the nerfs to my classes i play hurt me much more than weapons in a box ever did..and many of my friends too.
PVP patch? Pretty sure that’s next month and this patch was supposedly the “WvW patch.”
But okay.
Also, I’m kind of 50/50 on the patch. Some changes are good, some aren’t. No boon hate this patch, either? I dunno why I expected it this patch, but I hope it’ll be next patch.
I’m totally dissatisfied with the balance team too.
Thief burst had nothing to do with haste but with Mug; the problem wasn’t stealth either.
Warriors don’t use Kick or Rampage because they are not viable PvP builds, nerfing them didn’t help with being the weakest tPvP class tho.
Haste halved but CD of haste did not halve.
Frenzy halved benefit but still +50% dmg taken unchanged.
Guardians got ridiculized by this patch, buffing downed skills instead of fixing the fact this class needs to blow one weaponset or 2 utilities just for swiftness. Let alone the bugs.
Rangers got from free kill to pve-only.
I’m tired of my classes being beaten around every patch with wrong changes.
I’m starting to play GW2 less just due to anger to the balance changes.
It’s worse than Blizzard balance team really, and that says something.
I don’t really understand why rangers ate the quickness nerf. I don’t play one but give them and engis a break T_T
It’s like the buffs are good buffs, but classes that only needed buffs are getting nerfs to balance out the buffs, when they didn’t really need nerfs.
Either way though, the content is the main reason for any class being op in pve – If pve suddenly didn’t favour warriors the patching would make more sense. I guess that may be a prediction of the future content.

This. So much this.
This is exactly my take on the whole thing. I love when they add new stuff and fix up what needs fixing, but this particular patch was really confusing. None of it really makes any sense. Everything that needed help got nerfed and everything that needed nerfed got buffed.

I have to +1 this as well. The patches haven’t risen to the swtor level where they redesigned the talent to trees to not just functionally invalidate builds, but made them actually impossible to achieve, but it still is not a promising trend line.
I actually have a problem with all the balancing they have done post 2/26 both in the professions and in the open world PvE with Orr, risen, and krait. It all seems a bit off-kilter.

this is what i’m hearing….
though Anet could find some middle ground…..not 30 days of grinding…but not 1 days worth of content…
i’d say about 7 days of doing something i should be getting the reward i’m looking for
What are you on about ? This patch was make or brake for alot of players. …
This is because Anet has strategically placed the patch date close to the beta weekends of other MMOs, one of them a very big name in RPG history.

I know right, my first 2 chars were thieves and ranger and they got hit hard im like… :|
really…
I take a look at the patch notes and I see a clear pattern.
