Hi,

I have not played for about a year because of work (preparing for Ofsted is a nightmare!) and I feel like I may have missed too much.

I think I remember reading that ANet were thinking of implementing a feature that would allow you to do older Living World content for those who missed it. I would really like this because I enjoyed the content when I was able to do it.

Also, when I left there was a train going around Orr farming champions for gold etc. Is this still a thing? I hope not as it just felt cheap

Thank you for reading and I look forward to seeing you in game

P.S. Is there anything I should know before jumping back into GW2?

Wiitos.

I feel like I have missed too much.

You can purchase all missed chapters of Season 2 of the Living Story. Season 1 MIGHT be added in the future, but right now can’t be bought.

Krall Bloodsword – Mesmer
Krall Peterson – Warrior
Piken Square

Each chapter of Season 2 is unlocked for free if you log in within the first two weeks of its release; if you missed that free period you’ll have to pay 200 gems for each chapter you want to unlock.

Currently it’s not possible to do this with Season 1 chapters because they tied parts of it to open world maps (which have changed since then) and designed for 100+ people to participate in (so it’ll be impossible to solo). If they do plan on making Season 1 replayable it’ll require a bit of an overhaul.

The Queensdale champ train has been axed, but Frostgorge and Orr still have trains.

Welcome back.

Since you’ve left, Season 1 ended and Lion’s Arch has seen better days.

We’re well into season 2 at the moment with the latest release being episode 7. You can purchase the previous episodes you missed for 200 gems each by logging into a character, pressing h and going to the story journal tab. Click on the season 2 drop down list, click an episode and you’ll have the option of purchasing it.

If you log in during an episode’s ‘active’ time (usually two weeks from its initial release), you will get that episode for free. They can be played/replayed whenever you want.

Yes, Cursed Shore farming is still a thing.

I feel like I have missed too much.

You can play Season 2 from the very start and work your way to getting caught up, you don’t need to buy anything.

Kill stuff to unlock weapons skills, most confusing thing I ever heard of. (sarcasm)
