You open more of the forums here, and the forums on MMORPG.com turn nearly completely to GW2 haters. I guess that says volumes about people getting sick of all the bashing that this game has taken.
Pointing out a game’s flaws isn’t really “bashing” it, as long as it’s done fairly and honestly.
Most people who criticize the game do so because we would like to see it improved upon. It’s not because we are hate-filled bashers ^^
No matter how good anything is ppl will always complain. There is no such thing as perfect, and it is painfully easy to be critical.

i couldnt wait to leave mmorpg.com’s forums. i wanted to discuss this game without getting my face chewed off.

I see nothing wrong with pointing out flaws in a game I like, if I wouldn’t care I would not post such things… but currently I am faszinated how few things I find annoying (I play MMOs for a long time now, and this seems like the most perfect MMO I have seen so far… but maybe it is because it fits so well my playstyle).

I find nothing wrong with criticism as with anything it is needed. There is just a huge difference in the way it is being done. In particular on MMORPG.com. I have posted many times there and even have a blog there. When I post in the threads, most of the time people will turn it into a flame fest instead of an intelligent dialog to give ways to improve on something that is different then what has been out there.
We all know and agree that this game did what WoW did. It took things from other games and packaged them in a new and interesting way.
I haven’t had this much fun in a MMO in years, and I have been playing them a long time.
Is it because we are having fun?
Could that be the reason behind the bashing?
But to get back on topic. My point is that these forums go live and the amount of positive threads decreases and the amount of negative threads appears to increase. (It is most likely staying the same, but due to few positive threads being made there), shows why I made the original statement in this thread.

The problem is that most of the bashing, criticizing, and hating I’ve read on this and other forums stems from personal opinions and outright ignorance. I don’t think I’ve read a single thread will any real critical points about the game that must be improved (gameplay-wise that is).
