I’ve always found that I’ve had bad RNG on any games I play. I used magic find runes and food and still didn’t get much. I stop using them and got some good stuff but overall my RNG luck is still bad.

I noticed with of without magic find things still seemed the same. I started using other runes.

I love it! I use centaur runes on two of my characters and once my Warrior is 80 I’ll get Doylak runes for them. Not sure what to get my thief when they are leveled.

All those other runes do cool stuff. I also use my master chef and make other foods. Higher downed health is a good one. Or the one where you get health for kills. When alot of minions are dieing it helps.

I opened my eyes, I suggest you do too. Give up the magic find addiction.

Just wanted to share. If you are hesitant make a second set of Armour and experiment. You won’t be sorry!

get yourself useful in a party. this means don’t wear magic find gear. it’s selfish and you’ll just be a baggage. use proper armor and just use magic find consumables, if you still insist.

I Said I GAVE UP using magic find runes, jewelry and food. Maybe our frequencies didn’t match up. My apologies if I wasn’t clear.

Um, I wear magic find gear once in a while but by no means is it an addiction, and by no means is not using it giving up. Its like changing builds.

I experimented with magic find, using gems, sigils, etc. and saw no change in loot whatsoever. Now Im back to 0% magic find with the same luck on drops. IMHO, MF is a waste of resource.

I have 1 warr with no magic find and a thief with travellers and mf runes.

I find that doing DEs, my thief does get more fine crafting mats than my warrior, a noticeable higher number of t5/t6 bones instead of broken bones or whatever the grey version name is.

This is the only diff I’ve noticed. Gear wise, it seems to be same, ie, roughly same number of rare and masterwork drops.

On a separate note, since mf doesn’t affect chest loot, I’ve received 3 exotics from chests on my warr and 0 on my thief.

I notice a big improvement in t6 material drops with magic find.

only thieves know how to play, they chant “L2P” every time their god mode is challenged.

It’s also selfish to demand other people to play as you play and give up their magic find gear, simply, because you want them too.

its about getting useful in a party. your magic find stat doesn’t help the party.

but if +magic find is party wide and stacks per player, then magic find benefits the party and i have no qualms with it.

People can be usefull even with wearing full mf,if you wear full mf you should know how to play and should know the dungeon your going in.I just think that people trying to Force others to not use Mf is the wrong approach.

I’ve been playing around with MF the past month and a half or so with just MF food and MF guild banner. What I found is I made more money with MF[off npc-ing junk, white, blue, and green loot along with the money I make from selling things on TP and from finishing DEs] than without MF.
I have been using a total of 40% MF. I’m generally able to make anywhere from 50s-75s more while using MF food and MF guild banner than with no MF(in Orr).
One thing that I would like to point out is MF doesn’t increase the amount of drops you get(if it does, its by a very small amount), it increases the chance of getting RARER drops. Also, don’t know if this part is true or not but was hearing if you have stupidly low damage, your drops won’t be as good(which is why I just use MF food and MF banners over MF equipment).

but it would help if that magic find is something like could add to the total damage of your team so the team finishes a map fast or something like could add to your defense so your team mates won’t res you many times and would finish the map fast.

magic find won’t help your team to finish a map fast.

I did the very same, I have actually more or less noticed myself getting a little luckier since then. Seriously, MF needs to be replaced.

I for once decided to wear my MF gear in a lvl4 fractal yesterday. Got up to 150%+ MF with a boost found in a chest, food and appropriate rare armour set + runes.

I dropped a named exotic staff (on a wolf in the frost gate fractal), and heavy Armageddon boots in the chest at the end of the Colossus fractal.

That was probably very lucky, but I’m convinced. Ofc I won’t wear that gear in higher level fractals, but I will everytime I’ll go farming.

I have been playing since the day the game came out and I have not once used any MF gears. I just don’t care for that stats.
