I have a lvl80 norn female guardian, and there isn’t any good looking gear for her (and yes, looks is important for me). I was surfing forums and pages, when I found my dream chest armor, BUT when I fall in love with the breastplate I recognized, I can’t buy it because when she was lvl39 I didn’t chose the durmand priory.
I miss the warning, that “Hey, if you choose eg. the Vigils, you join them and if you’ll rolling on the floor, you can’t choose anything else”. I know, it was my mistake too, but b*** please, I won’t read the story conversations after the fourth character.
I NEED THAT ARMOR!

IF you dont read the story conversations after the 4th character, you didnt read the warning. But you should have known anyways that you can only choose one of those orders.

Create a new character (or log in with one that hasn’t chosen an Order).

Join the Order with the armor you want.

Buy the armor.

Use a level 80 transmute crystal to place the armor skin on 0-level “white” armor. It becomes account bound.

Transfer to your intended character and transmute again onto appropriate level/stats armor.

If you have a character already in that Order, skip steps 1 and 2. You can’t do this with cultural armor (skin is “locked” by race) but any character can wear any Order’s armor skins.

There’s a transmute trick you can do to move it over.

1. Level an alt to level 30 and complete the story quests to join the Priory (or whichever faction you want to get gear from)
2. Use Transmutation Stones, taking the appearance of the Priory armor and applying it to a set of unbound white or blue gear. This will make the gear account-bound, and you can move it to your main.
3. Use Transmutation Stones to apply the appearance of the Priory armor to your real armor.

It’s an expensive workaround, but it’s a workaround!

No one is denied anything. Only cultural armor is locked to a specific race, and there are five races, you get five character slots. Anyone can create a character of each race and wear cultural armor.

I liked the Vigil’s heavy armor style, created a norn warrior. Long before she even met the Order reps, she was wearing Vigil armor.
