I was sitting at 23% after 6 hours and I noticed, my game stopped downloading so I had to restart it.

now it’s down to 0% and I get 80KB/sec

what the hell… am I ever going to play this thing?

what am I doing wrong? this is really strange. It cannot possibly download this slow

The downloader supports continued downloading. This means if you were to end it and restart it, it picks up where It left off at.

The only difference is, instead of showing the previous progress it starts the loading bar over again.

In regards to your download speed, it must be your ISP or your machine. When I get patches in guild wars 2 I average around 3.4 megabytes a second

When you restart the download, it first verifies on the files that have already been downloaded, so that may be the speed you see at first. After verifying files, the speed usually picks up.
