You can always collect second set with same stats but different runes for different occasions.
I’m happy with every single Ascended chest dropped around, even if all my chars are fully ascended geared up.

defender means soldier or knight stats.

i suppose i’ll use this for collector’s achievement even if stats are wrong and i do not use characters with medium or light armor
But like I have said, you can pick plate knight stats, and make second set just with different runes.
It’s always a freebie, and option.
