I have a question for you to answer
I wouldn’t be surprised if they did one in 2013. Maybe that’s where so much of there man power is.
its anyone’s guess. they havent said anything about one coming out, so who knows really.
there is no info regarding to this at all
I have an answer for you to question.
According to Colin Johanson, right now, they don’t have a timetable for actual expansions. They’re focusing on the monthly content updates, and claim that January and February they will add an absolute ton of content.
He also says that when they do get around to paid expansions, they’ll be at a slower rate than GW1.
If they’re releasing new continents like they did in GW1, and it’s Cantha, I want it now!
If they are releasing new contents in currently pace, I don’t think they have the manpower or then need to add an expansion yet. Maybe a year later, when they can simply renew contents from already-made one like Halloween to keep up, then sparing more manpower for a real expansion. You only have limited resources. If you rush for something that is out of reach, you are going to pay the price, like receiving a quick but broken expansion.
The answer is depends.
If the game is still hemorrhaging players like they are now and the monitization strategy is failing then the expansion is 6-8 months out.
This will be an attempt to re-energize the game and introduce/fix issues that caused those players to leave
If the player base levels off and revenue is generated at a steady and predictable rate then 1yr or so.
They have 2yrs or so of event/content in the can so they are working on the expansion already. Its just a matter of how much content and when it will be released. More time to polish is never a bad thing either.
As of right now expect it to be sooner rather than later.
