Guild Wars 2

Doing jump puzzle in WvW and an Ele is waiting in waterfall to kill anyone who falls. Well I fell and made a heck of an escape. turned it around when he followed me into the water. Got him down and was working on his hp from there and then BAM he was gone. Logged out right before I could finish him.

Whenever I go into the Borderlands puzzle I always make sure I have the trait that reduces fall damage on my warrior/guardian. Usually leaves me with ~10k HP, so guys at the bottom tend to get a nasty surprise instead of an easy 1-hit kill.

But yes, I get logged out on constantly in WvW. Very annoying. Wish Anet would make it like other games where if you alt+f4 your character stays in-game for a short period.

I hope they get rid of that rage quit avoiding death crap.

Other games have agro timers so if you engage in combat you can not log out for 5 minutes even if you quit game.

Seriously? He logged out just not to die? May he enjoy the queues.

Don’t automatically assume he left the field on purpose.

I don’t wvw if there’s a queue, cuz my luck is bad.
If it’d be me, it’d be that I crash as I’m pressing F to finish him.

Mulch, we all wish that was the case, but it’s so prevalent that a player randomly LD’ing as they’re about to die is so abysmally unlikely compared to the alternative.

I’ve seen entire squads of enemies log out when they see us coming with a larger force. This is all, of course, assuming they’re logging out instead of just using the teleport hack to blink away.

Yeah, I understand. And seriously, I’m never lucky enough to crash out of getting killed, I crash just before a chest, toward the end of a queue instead of the start, fml…

Because not all servers have queues.
If you don’t have a queue it saves you a repair fee with only a little extra loading time involved.
