I was thinking about how I feel bad that every time I contact support, it’s because I want something…However, I didn’t think it would be appreciated if I put in a ticket just to say that I hope they had a good weekend and to tell them I appreciate them. So, I hope they get to see this, somehow.

The support team for this game is one of the best support teams I’ve ever had the pleasure of dealing with. There have been times that I was basically hopeless that something could be rectified, but put in a ticket just in case, and you’ve been able to help me.

Even in the times you weren’t able to help me, you were still prompt (assuming you weren’t swamped) and polite. Being a member of any support team is a rough job, and it tends to be full of people who are having bad days, and sometimes, it can be a bit thankless. Especially if people don’t fill out the “how was the service” survey at the end.

So, thanks. You guys are wonderful, and I appreciate you.

Anet has the best support team ive ever dealt with, no really, they do. Only had to contact them twice, but both times i had my problem solved in a day or two!

The pvp community reminds me of what Obi-kittenenobi describes Mos Eisley as from star wars.

I always try to be as thankful as possible in the messages themselves. ANet’s team is fantastic. You’re right that additional thank-you messages within the ticket system is not a good idea, though. I worked in support for another game, and while the gesture is appreciated, it ultimately does flood the ticket system if a lot of people start doing it, wasting time, and ultimately slowing down the speed at which players get help, causing an increased need to work faster to process more tickets which ends up more stressful in the end.

A stickied “Testimonials” thread for the support staff might be a good idea, though. The work can be absolutely grueling and some people are really impolite if their issue isn’t fixed for them (I.E., removing bans on guilty accounts, etc.). Being able to go through and look at the appreciation for a job well done can help on bad days.

Not really. Gaile would be the first to actively close such a thread. Not because they dont like success stories, but because it would quickly get filled with such filth that even Mike Rowe wouldnt go near it, and that guy has literally gone into the bowels of society.
