I just want to steal from NPCs!
I get the same feeling in the electronic section of Walmart.
Ever go into a city building or house and see a glass container with jewels in them that you want to steal?
Memories of Elder Scrolls experiences come back to me when I see a case such as the one in the pic.
I just want to use my lock pick and steal!
I didnt think about it before but now i want to rob some npc’s blind!
-add ‘lockpick’ tool
-add ‘valuables’ resource nodes inside cities
-add merchant that trades ‘valuables’ for actual trinkets.

Huh, that’s actually not a bad idea at all. Be like a scavenger hunt/achievement and also get people into cities; to stop everyone just being criminals maybe have players sign up to one of two “groups”, one thievey, and one able to stop the thieves and have a sort’ve silly time-waster metagame arise from it with some players looking to pinch and deliver items to fences, the other looking to catch players who’ve been stealing.

Me too. Seconded!
Stealing has come up a few times in the Suggestions forum, (prolly where this is going in 5 … 4 …3 ..) and as a Thief I love the idea. I hadn’t thought of making the thing a node, though, that’s pretty clever. Instead of the merchant, though, it might be a great way to add a crafting skill – gather stuff, go to a Fence, craft stolen goods. I don’t even like crafting, but I’d be on board for that.
I’m sorry I stepped outta yer box, don’ worry, if
ya whine enough they’ll put me right back.
gathering from a valuables node should probably “cost” some karma.

- Allow lockpicks to break
- Bring back the Lucky/Unlucky title tracks.
I’m about halfway to my Legendary, and GW2 needs more ridiculously annoying titles to work on. :P

“Oil down.” “Mortar down.” “Stupid arrow cart.”
Ah, good ole Morrowind. How I did love sneaking around and stealing stuff. Now I wander into the buildings of this game and stare longingly at the goodies I can’t steal or sell. But what a great mini game, seraphs and bandits. I don’t know how they could work out the details, but it sounds interesting.
Edit: naturally the bandits and seraphs would have to fight it out. Got to have control of the city to win, as well as steal or stop stealing.
