I would like to have some feedback regarding the curent roles of professions.

im talking about general stuff, nothing specific like how does reaper do in dungeons or how does a druid do in pvp..

also i would love if people would talk about this from personal experience rather than throwing replies such as “berserker sucks. Reroll. Rev is op. Chrono is boring”
give me your oppinions and a explenation why you think so.

edit:
ive been playing around with the build editor online with the new specializations and while i do understand the elite specializations bring a new/different playstyle to the class i love when they can be combined with the core skills/traits rather than when they are the complete oposite from the core class.
example: dps ranger turned into full heal druid. What am i suposed to do? Have a mix of stats on my gear so i can dps with lb and switch to staff healing?

Well I m gonna tell you about my experience with my Reaper.

Necromancer (condi) was always my main class and I love playing with it. I always played Staff, Scpter/Dagger.

Now that reaper is released, I love my necromancer even more , I am still playing him Condi.
Why I love it
- meele condi dmg in reaper form
- condi dmg from freeze
- very mobile reaper form

It playes very nicely in pvp and in pve , in dungrons I didnt tryed cause condis aren welcome there. Thats why I hope condis will be welcome in raids

Caveat to the below: I only play PvE so cannot say for PvP.

Reaper is about what I expected it to be (and, given I tested it in beta events, no surprises there). Now that I unlocked chill damage, I am able to solo a lot more content than I could before. I found some bugs with the greatsword so not using it (not that it helps with my condi build) but you can abuse the hell out of Gravedigger with world bosses and, well, anything with a large HP pool. You mix this with the traits to do chill when blinded and damage from fear and you come out REALLY strong condi (still have Epidemic traited to spread it all and melt mobs.)
I would say, with the added damage type, and using Well of Darkness to both blind and chill on a pulse, you can take out large hordes in no time… on your own. I have yet to test it in a large group with others applying chill to see if that is overwritten like back in the pre-1500-stack limit of condi’s. If it is, something I will suggest gets worked on.

For reference, here is my build that is working just fine in HoT maps (though all but my staff and trinkets are exotics): http://gw2skills.net/editor/?vRUQNAW7dnc0AV2gd3AG1A0bilgBLuIuEjiUXhtQvKKBEAiAA-TRSAABFcRAU4BA4z+DYr8TadDAcEAsWdlSVpwSlgBAOAY3AA-e

As for the Revenant. It might still be a bit early to tell on her but she feels fully capable of surviving and killing with pure sinister. The majority of my deaths have just been from falls, not mobs. I even solo’d the Mad Kind Dungeon with her. Getting around with Shiro is amazing and then swap back to Mallyx for damage. I almost might consider not using Herald but… not sure yet. In beta, I always had Harald.
There is, also, still plenty of work to be done as they did a half-hearted fix to Corruption trait line after they changed how he would behave between BWE2 and BWE3. Roy still needs to remove a few of the traits that applied to the old methodology as well as put some sense into the ICD of the poison damage trait (20s is ridiculous and basically useless). He also mentioned a trait to increase torment stationary damage to help in PvE but I guess that is still in testing.

I cannot say much to the others because I only had enough hero points on my necro to get sufficiently far there. From what I hear on Ranger forums, however, Druid got nerfed to the substrate again so I will put that spec off till Raids and wanting to be a healer (and having Zealots/Keepers gear).
Same goes for daredevil. I just got her to 80 and had only enough to unlock the spec. However, I imagine she will be fun still and gain even more survivability with the dodges.
Then there’s my engineer. I only really wanted to replace rocket turret with the cleansing gyro but I have yet to even take her into HoT xD.

So, for all the rest… I will let someone else reply.

Hope that helps!

Jenna Gracen – Scrapper && Merit Sullivan – Guardian
Daenerys Ceridwen – Druid && Vexia Gracen – Chronomancer
