I love Guild wars 2 but...
I would enjoy that, too. One of my favorite things in the game is exploring new places. The artwork for the game is beautiful.
Of all the games I’ve played this is my favorite, but there are 2 things I’ve had in other games that I would love to see in this game. Mounts and the option to personalize a home instance with buildings, furniture, landscaping items, etc.
Before expanding the world, I would like Anet to make each map with more depth of contents. There are already too many maps deserted. They need more incentives, something that makes each map (not necessarily all of them) worth going back to.

I second the OP
I love running around all the maps, the art work is amazing and I love DE’s.
I would love to be able to get more unique items , skins and stuff for you personal home from the DE’s on the various maps

I’m not sure it’s an issue Anet can actually do anything about.
All of the maps already do have a wide variety of things to do. You’d be hard pressed to find genuinely empty space in this game. There’s a variety of dynamic events, jumping puzzles, champions (usually tied in to the DE’s), hidden chests, mini dungeons, informative/amusing NPC dialogue and other hidden bits of lore and information, depending on the month Living Story content spread across various maps etc. etc.
But it seems that a large percentage of the playerbase simply wants to farm gold and items as quickly and easily as possible and for that it’s in their best interest to bunch up and run around the same small area together.
Contrary to popular belief all maps do have roughly the same number of champions, and if people are there and doing the event chains most of them come up regularly, certainly there would be enough to rival Queensdale or Frostgorges champ trains.
But why would those people bother going to another map to fight champions in a smaller group who would take longer to trigger and kill each one when they can all run around together killing them in minutes?
If Anet did somehow force them to do that they’d just complain that yet another farming method had been nerfed, Anet hates players and then lurk in LA until someone invents a new farm. You can’t force people to have fun, even when they’re playing a game.
(Also the only way I can think of for Anet to force the big groups/trains to break up is to introduce kill tagging and that would ruin cooperation in the rest of the world as well.)
“Life’s a journey, not a destination.”
Good points Danikat, yet i would still like to see brand new zones to explore.
Tyria is really a beautiful world and running champ trains is such a limited experience. I’m not sure what the best solution is but adding more zones to explore couldn’t hurt in my opinion
They should bring back Zephyr sanctum and open it up a bit to the surrounding areas. That style of zone would be awesome to explore if it were larger.
It’s a medical condition, they say its terminal….
