Hello ladies and gentlemen. I bought then game when it came out, spend like 200 hours playing 24/7 and burned out.

Now I’m back

I’m very, very confused though. I have no clue what’s going on. I suppose lots of stuff changed…where should I start again?

Is exotic gear valuable or is it trash now? I remember spending lots of time to get the exotic gear and stuff

Uh, well there have potentially been a ton of changes since you left, depending when that was. A lot of features have been tweaked/added. PvP Reward Tracks are a thing now. Traits can be swapped around for free, any time you’re out of combat. There are a couple new zones, Dry Top and Silverwastes. Season 2 of Living Story is complete, and definitely worth checking out (you can get it via the Gem Store, or have any friend who has it unlocked invite you in).

Exotic is still pretty much the standard “best” gear people can reasonably expect you to have. There is Ascended gear as well, which provides a minor stat bump but is far from necessary, and quite a lot of work to put together. So don’t worry, you are not behind in terms of stats — but you may want to check your skills and build, as there have been a lot of balance changes over the years.

You spent alot of time getting exotic gear you say? ran cof p1 I guess, since thats what my friends who burned out on the game did.
