I'm feeling lost
Move onto another starter map. Head into DR, find the purple portal icon on the map, use it to go to Lions Arch and select another portal to go to which ever city you like. Travel through the city to the starter map. You can do that with all five maps before heading to anywhere else higher if it makes you more comfortable while feeling out the game.
edit: and I might suggest Wayfarer Foothills (the Norn map) for your next map. Its a pretty straight forward map to navigate.
further edit: and everything Vayne said below.
Would you like some hard cheeze with your sad whine?

First things first…your personal story is not a main quest line that you’re supposed to do as your main meal of the game. It’s a side line that you do as you reach it. You’re not supposed to be able to do it straight one after the other.
Most people are used to games with quest hubs and bread crumb quests that take you directly from point to point. Guild Wars 2 isn’t really like that.
So…make sure you gather everything. You don’t actually have to complete zones, but do dynamic events whenever you see them and hang around after, particularly if the NPC’s are talking because often another event will piggyback off the first event.
Don’t worry about repeating dynamic events, they’re your best source of experience. Make sure you’re using food to get the 10% experience buffs from kills. Some of it is dirt cheap and some karma sellers sell food as well.
But don’t worry that you’re not leveling fast enough. Just spend more time in the zone or go to another starter zone if you prefer. You can actually stay in a starter zone, never leave and level all the way to 80 if you wanted (not that I’d recommend it).
edit: I took too long to type this post, so some of this is just a repetition of the above.
If that means you’ve done most/all of Queensdale, take a look at other low-level areas. For example, you could head south into Kessex Hills. However, if a 15-25 level zone does not appeal to you, consider the other starting areas -- Metrica Province, Caledon Forest, Plains of Ashford, and Wayfarer Foothills. These are the areas immediately outside each of the other capitals for the other races (just as Queensdale is the first human zone outside of Divinity’s Reach).
You will be able to handle them just as easily, if not moreso, as Queensdale at level 12 and gain levels up to and past 16, and you can do your story missions as you see fit. In general, the story missions can take you to zones such that you can combine map exploration/completion at the same time as progressing through the story, but it is not surprising to need to explore additional zones to pad your XP while leveling.
These starter zones are all accessible to you right away -- head into Divinity’s Reach and go up to the top/central area ("The Upper City" on the city map) and head through the asura gate. This will take you to Lion’s Arch, and from here you can enter other portals to each of the capital cities -- and, thus, the other starting areas.
Additionally, take the time to fully explore all of the cities. That should net you a few levels for your time, as well as a little bit of money and perhaps some transmutation charges (if that still happens in the new system? I remember getting transmutation stones from city exploration).
Lastly, if leveling feels a little slow to you, you can use some of the materials you’ve been gathering (e.g. minerals from mining, foodstuffs from harvesting, wood from logging, other mats off drops/salvage) to level a crafting discipline, netting you additional XP.
thanks for all the answers
I’m lvl 12 in this game and idk where to lvl now, my story line mission recomends a lvl 16, i only have a HEARTH remeaing on my zone and it is lvl 15, im human engineer, where should i go? =’S
- Throws one of his endless lvl 20 scrolls at you *
Just wander around your current zone. Complete dynamic events, and do some map completion(which does reward a ton of experience and nice leveling loot if you get 100% map completion via exploration).
Just doing the renown hearts isnt enough to level. The point is to wander around and find dynamic events that kick off. Complete a few of them, explore the zone, you’ll get those levels in no time.
Ah…just remembering what it was like back then when it was all still new and map exploration meant something
