gw2efficiency has gathering maps for rich metal nodes and other node clusters… I don’t think you could make 500+g in about 2 days from that though, even with the watchwork pick. How much time did you spend per day?

I agree. The method is a good one, but I call BS on the total gained. Even if you spent 16 hours over 2 days farming mats in this manner, you’d still have to break 30g/hour just gathering. Even on my best days following the ore/resource route I’ve made maybe 20g/hour including use of boosters and a watchwork pick.

About 8 hours Saturday and 8 Sunday, I started with 502 gold on Saturday and end up with 1055 before I logged out last night. Like I said before still have around 120 planks and Iron on my char after crafting.

I don’t care if prices dropped, I have 4 sets of ascended and 5 legendary, I’m not greedy.

Yes you are right, I made about 30g per hour (from gathering only) but I made 27 deldrimor steels from those materials, is like 3g more per.

the problem is that you cant make 27 deldrimor in 2 days, unless you already owned 25 timegated lumbs of mithrillium before.
However, 30g per hour is probably possible and still way more than most people make with other farms.

I’m very very skeptical of the 30g a hour claim. 15g a hour is probably feasible with a booster and you know the map very well.
That being said yes, gathering is a great way to make gold. When HOT first launched Iron was selling for kitten .

Yeah I made those mithrillium once a day way before HoT, now it is paying off. I have around 100+ , but eeven w/out those mithrillium you can still make 30g per hour.

I think you’re missing my point. I get you can do this. The sad fact that you have to go out of your way to do it, is the problem.

Yes, but to craft ascended you need to wait a lot more and there is no gameplay session associated with crafting ascended, this is just to help those who doesn’t want to wait a long time to craft ascended and I know is boring but like I said before is just to help people with the armor. It is a choice or buy gems, farm events, etc.

shiny baubles are a nice extra 30s, if they keep piling up.
Completing map meta events are generally a great way to make use of that.
One of my favourite meta event has always been the assault on the centaur camps in harathi hinterlands. Apart from the shiny baubles, you get some nice t3-4 mats from ressource nodes and plenty of mob kills during the defense events, plus a world boss at the end.
The chain has 10 events and you need 40 to max out your map rewards, which yields you 44 baubles or 13.2g, thats 3.3g extra liquid gold rewards now that you make, if you do that chain 4 times a week compared to before HoT.
There are a couple of other meta event chains on other maps that include 10+ events and decent loot along the way.
The best ones imho are the 3 event chains in straits of devastation for the assault on balthazar temple. Lots of mobs spawning and apart from shiny baubles, there is also other loot during different weeks that is quite decent. t6 claws nearly trade for 30s and t6 blood for 60s.
That meta event isnt done frequently though because its hard. But i think its a great dynamic event chain you can do with a guild.
The other two orr maps also have great map rewards, especially if you have charged lodes or giant eyes in the rotation.
But is more like a farm fest.

I said that I thought your prior claim of 50g per hour was an exaggeration. Your posts in this thread that clarified you were using time gated materials not counted in the gathering count you mentioned and that it was really more like 30g per hour. So, in other words, an exaggeration.
It’s also not incorrect to point out that if more people do it, the price will go down. Not once did I say you were being greedy, but pointing out what happens when more people add to the supply. Nor did I condemn you for trying to help others, but simply answer someone’s question based on claims in your post history and that I was skeptical that people would be able to earn the 50g/hr you previously claimed in another thread.
I have no desire to “try for myself” because I have enough gold to do what I want in game and have no urge to do timed farming runs.
