Hello!I just bought the game today and i’m really excited to play.Which realm would you guys recommend me to join?I saw that you cannot change realms freely after you select one.

You can transfer freely for now, but it’ll cost 2,000gems in the future.

You CAN indeed change realms for free (every 7 days I think) that moves all your characters to that realm so that’s not a problem.. try a few out to see if you like them or check the “Operations:Union” thread for a great place to make contacts and find like-minded people to meet up with perhaps.

I’d recommend a “full” or nearly full realm for a new player as these are most populated so you’ll likely bump into more people about doing the events etc.

If you enjoy or want to try RolePlay I’d certainly receommend Tarnished Coast. I’m new as well so not met many people yet but those i have have all been friendly and helpful but I imagine this is same on most servers as GW2 seems to have a great community.

It’s best to seek out a ‘full’ server like stormbluff, jade quarry, tarnished coast, or sea of sorrows. There are several with high populations but they may be difficult to get into. If you can’t get into a high pop server just keep trying to transfer at odd times as it is still free. It took me a month or so to get on the server I wanted and it makes a big difference in quality of life especially while leveling. Best wishes to you and enjoy the game!

I got into Underworld.The realm is with high population so i guess i’m okay for now.I’ll see what it’s like,maybe i’ll try for the realm that are full at a later stage.

Actually, a FULL realm is not the best choice for leveling since no new accounts can be created there. The High and Very High servers are best for leveling
