I'm throwing money at my screen over here...
I would buy it! Maybe the ears could be scaled down a bit though.
I’d buy if we could have a cat’s tail / ears.
Kitsune’s rule.
RIP City of Heroes

ROFL
lol thats awesome, i imagine this song playing in the background https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JHRAxRsHo7Q
oh please no the wings were bad enough
Just so you’ll know, you would be able to wear the wings with that. ^^
ANet may give it to you.
What does the fox say?
I believe its yiffyiffyiffyiff…
Anyway, I’m not sure I want to see more silly costumes. I guess its content in the gemstore, but at some point its going to be kittened and start to distract from GW2 lore. Sure its not a hardcore realistic MMO, far from it, but its already walking a very thin line with stuff like unicorn bows, silly pets, costume transformations, wings, animal hats and the like… A majority of players still have “traditional” gear (ie heavy armor and a flaming greatsword on a Warrior instead of a swimsuit with bunny ears and a pink fluffy baton), which is great. I dont want to see GW2 become another silly Asian MMO where a battleground look like a My Little Pony episode.

Because playing a fantasy MMO is serious business. No, it’s happy, pretendy, fun time games.
RIP City of Heroes
I’m all for fun and silly items, but this one is just a little odd.

Cat ears and tail??? throws purse at screen PLS TAKE MY MONEY!!
Bunny ears were cute but cat ears are awesome! \o/
TANOOKI SUIT!!!!!
yes please I’d buy it haha
tho don’t make it a 24 hour thing please xD
You want Elins, go to Tera.
No thanks.
So long Treeface.
“…Kormir? I know not of whom you speak.”
Please anet, if any of you actually stumble on this… do not do it.
What does the fox say?
I still don’t get the animal ear/tail thing…
That is the laziest photoshop, but -yes-.
Do want.
Heck, it would even mean moar tail options for Charr!

NO please, dont ever add something like this.Gw2 immersion is broken enough with all those wings.
Please anet, if any of you actually stumble on this… do not do it.
Spoilsport!
I can see Anet seriously doing this. I mean, just look at the wings they just released….
Please anet, if any of you actually stumble on this… do not do it.

fiiine how about… I don’t like this, but I do like it more than the armor that currently has a tail on the pants.
wow that looks really good…… are you a furry btw? cool post imo definitely not weird
First off, I’m with the please no side of this discussion, it really doesn’t fit in this game.
Second off, I found this very funny and couldn’t resist, but I used to play an mmo where you could have exactly that and throw money at the screen to your heart’s content. It wasn’t this way 7 years ago when I started, but now people there, well, they spend a whole heck of a lot to “succeed” in the end game. (Seriously, there was a guy a couple of years back who sold his car irl to buy the top tier gear in game >.<) Anyway, the fashion doesn’t look amazing when translated, but you could totally be a Venomancer on Perfect World International lols. Btw, I really don’t suggest that at all xD.
I would buy it! Maybe the ears could be scaled down a bit though.
Personally I like big ears. Though the ears I used in this photoshop are not the best…
I dont want to see GW2 become another silly Asian MMO where a battleground look like a My Little Pony episode.
The minis are far worse than someone having a fox tail and ears.
I’m all for fun and silly items, but this one is just a little odd.
Why is it odd? How is it worse than wings?
NO please, dont ever add something like this.Gw2 immersion is broken enough with all those wings.
The minis. The minis are far worse than the wings. How can anyone be immersed when people are running around with little Queen Jennas on their tail?
wow that looks really good…… are you a furry btw? cool post imo definitely not weird
Not a furry. Here’s a handy graph of what’s furry: http://new1.fjcdn.com/comments/Picture+_fd6b4763b2cd07712a17007b0dfd21a4.jpg The diffrence is that a furry has fur almost all over and an animal face, while a foxgirl (or “kitsunemimi”) is a human with animal tail and ears added.
The graph isn’t perfect as the “semi-furry” is pretty much furry too. There should be more stages in between.
I might actually cry if they add this before they re-add the bunny ears and sunglasses.
Which they changed the functionality of AFTER they removed them. >=|
Dear, sweet merciful Dwayna…no.
I don’t object to this because of lore or immersion breaking, but because there’s so much more to the GW universe that needs love first.
1) Unlocking some of the NPC cultural outfits and faces
2) Functional looking back items (Rox’s quiver and Canach’s backpack are a step in the right direction)
3) The rest of the 6 gods
NO please, dont ever add something like this.Gw2 immersion is broken enough with all those wings.
Guild Wars 1 had Wings too.. from another game no less XD
plus the Reiment of the Lich costume also had wings
in fact the Wings exist in Gw2 becuase that costume was released without Wings in Gw2
makes more sense as a back piece than part of the costume and Anet also believed this..
it also carries more armor compatibility this way
I’d buy if we could have a cat’s tail / ears.
My GW1 Mesmer has Cat ears <3
Anet… Make it so… Please.
Please no. Not only is this ridiculous and out-of-place for Guild Wars, but I really don’t want to bring furries into my game. Go play a charr if you want a tail and fur.
One huge reason why a fox tail and ears would not work in GW2 is because of the anatomy of some of the races. Charr already have a tail and 4 horns and ears taking up head space then there are the asura with their already large ears. And I don’t see anet locking it from those 2 races.
Although I’m personally not a fan of silly costumes (i.e. wings, ears, tails, etc), how exactly does it break immersion? They are just that, costumes, correct? We have the materials in the game to make such costumes, we have the fauna within the world that act as inspiration for said costumes, so how exactly does it break immersion within the world?
We have magic and machinery, guns and gizmos – why does a costume break immersion?
I mean, we’ve even had “Mini Pets” since the original Guild Wars – small miniature versions of various creatures, past allies and enemies. There’s no fuss about those breaking immersion, how are costumes any different from a lore and immersion standpoint?

1) requires programmers, I think.
2) should require at most one graphical artist.
3) I don’t even…
Looks to me like there’s plenty of people who could take on the job of making the fox tail and ears. I mean, Anet must have several graphical artists, right? It should take only one to make them.

You. I like you.
The most stupidest pic i ever seen ,throw this garbage away lol this is Guild Wars 2 Not Furry Wars 2
Sorry about the stupid pic. It was rushed. Here’s some evidence that I’m not complete crap with Photoshop: http://i.imgur.com/2EOHIqX.jpg
Also, she’s not a furry. She’s not covered in fur and she doesn’t have an animal face, so she’s not a furry.
Please no. Not only is this ridiculous and out-of-place for Guild Wars, but I really don’t want to bring furries into my game. Go play a charr if you want a tail and fur.
She’s not a furry. If anything is a furry then a Charr is. I just want a fox tail and ears on my lovely ranger chick.

Thank you! Another thing I forgot to mention is that we literally have applications and events for costumes within the game – we actually have Wintersday, Halloween, the Queen’s Jubilee, and the Dragon Bash.
I’d not only argue that costumes don’t break immersion, they are part of the immersion. They aren’t simply an “add on”, they are very much built into the game and have been since Guild Wars: Prophecies.
I will only support this atrocity being added to the game if I can also have a full banana suit added.

I wouldn’t buy it, but if it makes other people happy, then why not? :P
If you want to play JRPGs then I’d suggest to play JRPGs and not GW2.
…Just play a Charr. Or beg Anet for that playable Tengu race.
(currently leveling: a Mesmer, an Engineer, and a Guardian)
come on.. can we have SOME dignity in visual items? Oversized wings are bad enough but this here? No.. JRPG games got you covered in masses, gw2 does not need that

Personally i like the Dark fantasy type, like Legacy of Kain series, Vagrant Story, Dark Souls, etc.
They demostrate more the horror and brutality of fighting with weapons, the kind of thinking of that times, process of conversions (physocological, espiritual and phisical) and such . Witch its very very inmersive.
I would prefer not to have things like wings here but i understand the decision its made by ANET and that theres a part of the player base that will be happy with them.
I wouldn’t buy it, but if it makes other people happy, then why not? :P
Exactly…I don’t get the hate against ears and stuff by people who say its “game breaking” or “ruining immersion”. I mean this game is full of silly and fun things. If you’re taking this game seriously just find a group of like minded people and stick with them. No one is forcing you to get these ears or the wings or etc… In fact this game is more tailored towards people who would buy these ears than people who rp seriously :p
GIVE!
but dont pull 24h sales. make it like armor pieces or something. 24h is like… you know not everybody are rich. and even the poor want to invest in virtual reality.
so pls.
dont be like we love rich people. i know you do but spare some for the poor too

If they do make this I doubt it will be anything but a gem store item. Though I also dislike the 24 hour sales. Not because of the price, but because of the risk of simply missing it. My greatest fear is that I will be unable to obtain the fox ears and tail, if they are made, because I missed a 24 hour window to get them.
I forgot to mention that it would be awesome if the tail and ears took after your hair colour. If that can’t be done then perhaps a few diffrent variations to choose from would be nice.
- Red with white tail tip and black ear tips.
- Arctic white with black tail and ear tips
- Brown with white tail tip tip.
- Black.
- Desert blonde.
I think these are actual fox colours.
O.P I think you want Wildstar…
