I miss Guild Wars 2 before HoT
I don’t. I still remember necro being trash tier for dungeons until reaper saved the kitten profession.
Or ranger being “kinda healy” but not enough to really make it a playstyle (unlike druid).
Guardian not having any real ranged option save the scepter (which is a boring 3 skills 1h weapon).
Mesmer being pink butterfly job that few straight males could play without cringing…ah nvm that actually didn’t change -.-.
Anyhoo i remmeber hating the flat boring, uninspired alpine borderlands and being forced into them to get wolf pet or map completion. Thank anet for removing WvW from the last one.
In general there’s a lot fixing to do, but no, i don’t want pre-hot gw2.
Pre-HoT > Post-HoT. Hands down.
Before HoT they came out with something new every month. After HoT they came out with a new raid (which targeted a very specific crowd of people) once every 3 months.
Pre-HoT WvW was great because of the people you ran around with and the different playstyles available. Post-HoT you had to run with one build to be decent and all your friends are gone.
Pre-HoT PvP Took skill and coordination. Post-HoT gave everyone spammable skills and passives which didn’t separate the good from the bad.
The core PvE game has remain unchanged for the most part.

Really? Something new every month before Heart of Thorns was released? I seem to remember many threads and posts lamenting the ‘content drought’ imposed because the Devs were working on the expansion.
