Excluding SAB.

The Clock Tower and Winter’s Day jumping puzzles were the best. There was a sense of adrenaline whilst proceeding through these puzzles.

The Not So Secret one is just tedious at best. Especially with its glitchy springs and launch discs. Not to mention getting a free portal to the chest didn’t even want to make me bother doing the puzzle properly.

The pads aren’t glitchy or buggy, they are just more sensible to high latency. Although nothing has beaten Clocktower in terms of fun (imo), Wintersday JP was way too easy and I like the new one much more. Also taking the portal is your choice and there’s nothing Arenanet can do about that without screwing loads of players :P

Agreed OP. Nothing even compares to the Clock Tower. Failing other puzzles is just tedious, failing the clock tower was a learning opportunity that was engaging despite running the same section over and over again.

If they allowed custom pve servers I’d just host a clocktower 24/7, host some tournies. Would likely be the most fun I’d ever have in the game.

@Wolfheart.1938 Yes they certainly are buggy. The second leap-pad after the top of the ship drops momentum completely on 30% of jumps.

The jump-pads also don’t register movement correctly and don’t grant the higher jump consistently.

You can always go and do Skipping Stones or Spekks Lab. There might be other timed ones that I’ve forgotten too.

Although the problem with any jumping puzzle is that once you’ve learned to do it and practiced a few times it becomes easy, and with the timed ones that makes the timing negligible because once you get the hang of it you’ve got plenty of time to make each jump.

Good idea, Danikat. Timed JPs with 3-4 different paths that open up as you play them. This way you’ll never know where to jump after the next turn and you’ll be required to react on the fly

I was ridiculously addicted to the Halloween jump puzzle. I even had guildies offering to do it for me. I was OBSESSED. I beat it though, and was incredibly gratified when I did. That gratification is what is lacking in this generations games. GW2 had it with the jump puzzles (that was the ONLY thing that provided it) but then …they stopped them shrug

I don’t log in much anymore. This game had 2 of my 3 favorite things in these games : Puzzles, Exploration. Since completing those 2 things, I don’t have much desire to play.
I really do wish they would put in more difficult puzzles.

For the most part of my time in game, I hated that southsun skipping stones puzzle. Then owing to need for Badges of Honor, I religiously did the EB JP and then started to wonder after all this jumping exercise, can i do skipping stones now? So i tried, failed a few times then i made it! So now im curious if i can do other timed jumping puzzles.
