Obvious botting & cheating… Same path 24/7, same mobs, same people, same route… Every day, every hour, they are there botting and collecting loot. And I just reported them again a couple of hours ago. This time however, I made a video.

It IS the same people that I reported last time. I wrote their names & location of botting down on a piece of notebook paper by my computer to remember them.

I feel as if I’m the only one reporting players for cheating to have the easy life while I’m stuck here working my butt off with farming and dungeons only to get mediocre results.

They have been botting here for two solid months and my reports are ignored. I’m starting to ask myself if maybe I should start botting, too. If botting reports are being swept under the rug, then the fear of getting banned is nonexistent.

Bots keep material prices down. You don’t want vials of powerful blood back to 27 silver each do you? Because thats what happened after a mass bot ban.

If you are not enjoying the experience of farming (which you appears to not be, based on how you describe it), you should have stopped by now. I don’t really understand why some people are so eager to do things they do not actually enjoy doing, hoping they will get some big reward for it, especially after being told that grinding in GW2 is rather unrewarding.

This game has not been meant for grinders. Unlike other MMOs, it has been meant for everyone else.

Because it’s just about the only way to get anything. Do the same thing all the time, a lot. Dungeons, TP, events – repeat as needed.

Yeah, it sucks. I’ve started adding teleport farmers as friend to aid in reporting, and I see them continue to log on.

In before lock and “Please see <link to locked thread> thread for our thoughts on this issue”.

Not really. It would be, if grinders had their way – then the only way to get anything would be by grinding (which, incidentally, is what the grinders want).

ArenaNet’s system is not perfect, but if you simply play the game and do whatever it is you want to do, you will get exotic armors and weapons, no grind required. Do you like to do WvW? You will get enough karma and badges for your equipment over time, without having to grind. Do you like to play in dungeons? After playing in some you will have enough tokens to buy your exotic equipment. Do you like dynamic events and exploration? Those will reward you with the exotic equipment you want as you play.

However… If there isn’t anything in the game you enjoy, then yes, you won’t be able to get anything without some kind of grind. Which is a big sign that GW2 is the wrong game for you.

Uhm…. yes i do

Because then the hard work i do by getting them will be properly rewarded.
I appreciate it is nice for those that don’t want to make the effort to go kill mobs to have cheap mats to craft with,
However for the rest of us farming the mats is a nice way to earn our in game gold too,
So yea ban more bots thats what i say and get the mat prices back up ;p

We’ve mentioned before how we deal with botters, that we tend to terminate their accounts in waves, and that we collect user reports in aggregate to help us investigate their accounts. We need data to do this, and your reports really help the team. Just because you still see them in the game doesn’t mean that we aren’t in the process of investigating their activities.
