I was never aware of it being dyeable when I bought it on release. Wiki even states it isn’t.

What gave you the impression it had dye channels?

I wish all gliders where dyeable… but then again that would ruin the wing sales for anet.

Of all the gliders they could allow dyeing, this might be the most unfortunate one. Because you know people will go for certain yellow tones.

It may be interesting to note that while gliders are dyable, backpacks aren’t. If they made, say, White Wings dyeable, you’d have a situation where people would have dyed wings while gliding, which would suddenly turn white upon landing.

They could add dyes to back pieces to handle that situation, but I expect that’s a larger task than it sounds, between adding dye channels to skins and updating the UI. Whether you think that’s a good reason for not making wings dyeable or not, there is, at least, another explanation besides “Anet wants to charge for each option.”
