I've been out of the loop
Anet have been AWOL from the forums since the patch hit.
I’ve been kinda busy IRL so I haven’t been playing or checking the forums lately.
I was wondering if ANet replied at all to our Wardrobe feedback and specifically my own question to them:In the wardrobe introduction blog (https://www.guildwars2.com/en/news/introducing-the-wardrobe-system/), it clearly says:
" Unlocked skins can be applied to items infinitely (for just one Transmutation Charge), which makes it much less stressful to try out a new look for your character, since you can always switch back!"
yet it doesn’t seem to work that way in-game.
This is quite disappointing, I should say.
Why is there a contradiction between what was advertised and what was presented? Is this intended?
There’s an answer in the cash shop, it costs 801 gems to unlock though.

Not sure what you mean by that.
A Dev did respond, saying that what was meant was, once a skin was unlocked it could be used infinite number of times (rather than having to acquire it, again, each time) for a cost of one Transmutation charge each time.
You probably already know that, though.
If you so desire, you can read through the Dev Tracker, for more information.

Welcome back.

It sarcasm. 800 is the minimum amount of gems you can buy so a price of 801 would require you to buy 1600, or spend gold to buy a gem. He is referring to how Anet is seemingly trolling us

Meh. They phrased it in a totally misleading way. It was just a misunderstanding, after all. Disappointing.
