I want items I have to earn
Well you have to earn the gold. Earn gold = earned weapons and armor.
Make a point to only outfit yourself in Bind on Acquire equipment…… Now go work for it! .
So You want 2 new dungeons were you can farm ascended armor sets? That would be to easy. You have to work for those unique and beautifull looking ascended looks xD

I don’t have to work for gold in this game, I just buy it with irl money because I can. I would much rather do that than a whole dungeon for 1 gold when legendaries cost 3-5k. My complaint is that I have nothing to work for, and buying gold to buy my items isn’t.

Not if the drop rate was low and it was hard and required a massive amount of team work, such as the wurm event. Ever play other MMO’s that have super hard dungeons that give high end gear that’s account bound and can’t sell to others? That is what I want.

I have 4 legendairs and full ascended armor. I worked for the majority of it. Now, it doesn’t matter because I find myself partying with people who have 1k ap and a full set of ascended and a legendary. I want items i worked for and something someone with 1k ap can’t get get through credit card.
there already are dungeons to get ascended armor they are called fractals mate i got 2 or 3 so far.
I can also get em from Teq and i guess tripple trubble aswell and they have thier own skins go get em all bud you cant buy those with credit card
You could’ve farmed the glorious hero armor. That is the most unique armor ingame. You still can farm the regular glorious armor true the pvp track.
Requires some time to farm a complete set + you can’t buy it with gold nor gems ^^

I’m max level for fractals and I was doing it every day for a fractal skin, but haven’t gotten any. So, I gave up on that and was glad for the ascended gear boxes I was getting though, they are all condi stats for the most part, I will never use that…I get a truck load of rings, most are stats I will never use. The ascended gear from fractals are not unique in the way they look. I think everyone is clearly not getting the point of the post and what it is I’m asking for. {UNIQUE} and {CAN’T BUY} are the main thing’s I wanna see in Gw2. Fractal skins are the only thing in this game that fall under that category and the drop rate for those are unfathomable, not to mention it’s a super easy dungeon and legendary skins look better. Having more than 1 dungeon with unique armors, would be lovely.

:D I did get the heavy and medium glorious armor, I was glad they gave us something fun to get in PVP. But once I obtained them, I found myself liking the look of gem store skins and common dungeon armors more. The light armor was just a kick in the unmentionable areas for me, very ugly. To obtain these were fairly easy, just because you get experience towards your track win or lose.
should have choped my post abit better was saying that tequatl the sunless boss droped unique ascended skins and pretty sure the wurms do aswell and you cant buy those with credit card

Teq is barely even a re-skin. It’s just your common ascended staff with a little bit of black smoke? barely. Can’t say much for it’s color since all the others are the same skin with different colors. I have a Teq skin, it wasn’t hard to get and once again, Legendary skins look better than ascended skins. Wurm skin is gross, it’s not a common skin anyone would wanna use, it’s rather gross imo. Green bubbles and steam on top of the ascended armor isn’t unique, just a common semi re-skin.

1.
being the only one of its kind; unlike anything else.
Bubbles and a color change isn’t unique.
I thought every dungeon armors are unique and can’t be bought with gold but can be farmed in PvP.
well you can try to get every fractal weapons. Or dry top weapons. The new armor sets from silverwaste…
It’s there. Just not sure if you actually care about it.

well the drop rate used to be 5% for fractal 50. They changed it to 10% I think, presuming they changed the rate to be same as 38 which have always been 10%.
If you do fractal50 everyday for a month, you have a 96% chance of getting at least 1 skin. It’s just if you are willing to do it everyday.
Is this just PvE only? On top of my mind,
- Glorious Armor (PvP)
- Balthazar backpiece (PvP)
- Dwayna/ Grenth/ Lyssa backpiece (recipe from Wintersday/ Queen’s Jubilee, can be bought from TP but still requires a lot of grinding and 500 level crafting)
- Mawdrey (Living Story Episode 1-4)
- Ambrite Weapons (Dry Top)
- Carapace and Luminescent Armors (LS episode 5-8 + Silver Waste)
- Mistforge Hero’s Weapons (WvW)
- Cool titles and trinkets knick-knack from various Achievements
- doranduck, 2016 on Lore in Raids

Do you understand the difference between Glorious HERO armor and Glorious armor?
:P

To this you also have the hellfire armor set, Radiant Armor set, Zodiac weapon set, Guild weapon skins, level 3 cultural weapons, Fractal weapon set.
There are a few things you cannot simply buy out OP and have to work for them.

You probably mean Zenith weapons that are AP rewards and not Zodiac which are BL ticket skins.

You’re absolutely right. meant zenith thanks for correcting me !
Anet’s idea of horizontal progression is too narrow, and boring.
They should start introducing new traits or gears with different abilities(not stats).

There’s a definition for games that allows usesrs to buy best items with real money. Even (supposed to be) hard to earn titles like “dungeon master” are accessible by spending real money to pay runners but…hey…i don’t remember that definition…anyone able to help me…..lmao
Where are the items I have to work for and show what I’ve accomplished in this game?
I’m sorry to break it to you, but the existence of any items like that, in any game out there, are a myth. No item can show how “accomplished” you are, only how much time you’ve had to throw at the game, and/or how lucky you were getting to play with decently skilled people and getting the rng gods to drop the good loot for them.
I’ve seen it in other games where people big-mouthed their way into raid groups to waste hours upon hours until they got their hands on whatever “unique” loot they were after to try and lord it over others that they’re somehow “better”, when really their skill was sub-par and they only got the item through a mix of time spent, knowing the right (skilled) people and sheer luck. On the other hand, people who really were skilful at playing the game but didn’t have (or want to) waste as much time would often end up without the associated prestige items.
There are players around that are exceptionally skilled, figure out challenges on their own, and beat content a large portion of the player base couldn’t dream of beating thanks to personal skill, but there is no challenge those players can beat that others couldn’t beat by reading up on strategies, getting in with the right groups and simply throwing an insane amout of time at the content.
Of course you can construct solo challenges like Liadri that are still moderately difficult even if you can read up on all the strategies and builds others have come up with, but beating a solo challenge doesn’t exactly say much about your skills at playing a multiplayer game, or does it? There’s more to being a good group player than being able to beat single player challenges. On the other hand, the nature of group challenges implies that it’s always possible for less skilled people to beat them with the help of exceptionally skilled ones, so any reward that you gain there isn’t really an indicator of personal accomplishements.
I get that you’ve got a good amount of time to spend on this game (judging from the account-bound rewards you have mentioned in this thread that you’ve already collected) and would like to get even more visual rewards that would make you a special snowflake, but let’s face it: designing special, unique rewards that are only attainable for a very few people that have an above-average amount of time to spend isn’t in ANet’s best interest. They want content that, while challenging and somewhat time consuming, is still achievable by a considerable part of the player base, not just those few that devour content at a speed that no developer could ever keep up with.
It’s only my guess, but I don’t expect any real “special snowflake” rewards to appear, simply because it isn’t worth it to construct something that needs real skill and can’t be aquired by simply throwing a ton of time at it.
Your playing the wrong game.
