Guild Wars 2

I started playing after the game became available again to buy online. I made a Charr Necromancer because I love monsters and I love necromancers, and I just went out to explore the world. I picked up some harvesting items, and just walked from place to place, stopping to help people in need (hearts) and discover interesting places. I finished the first Charr zone yesterday, like completely finished all the exploration things, and realized I was level 22. I knew I’d been leveling up, but I never kept track of how much. I realized a level and a half late that I had my last utility slot open, about six unspent trait points.

My only complaint is waypoints; they break immersion. But then I just avoid using them and the people who want fast travel have it and I don’t have to suffer for it, because there are harvesting nodes and adventures to be had as I take the longer path.

Now to figure out what alt I want to play.. I’ve restarted close to a dozen times and never gotten past level 5.

I already bought character slots and after seeing the same contents for like 20 times, I’m still having fun… =)

I never understood how someone could need to buy so many slots. To each their own, though. I don’t see anything wrong with it, haha. Just my own experience, I feel fulfilled (at the moment) with 3!

I play with my cousin who is a middle school teacher with little to no time to play so I mostly help her level and catch up with me. By the end of the night, I realize I’ve jumped a few levels just helping out!

@OP, glad theres someone that is playing this game without thinking about it so much..just pure playing the game.

I got a thief to 80, and now my alt necro to 30(loving it). Try a Guardian, they are really fun too.

That is exactly my style of play and it has happened to me too- except I’m lvl 50 or so.
It took me ages to realize I need to buy a second trait book O-o
I do have alts though and I love playing them too.

I just need ’em all….. Need ’em all….. drolls

Jokes aside, I agree I have an issue. I love alts, love playing them. I usually get one to the top level, work a bit towards his equipment and then spend my play time switching between him and all my alts.

Im at around 150-180 hours(cant remember exactly), of play time. It hasnt dropped off yet for me. Just finished my story quests, going to work on some gear, map completion especially Orr, and get into some dungeons.

I just played 8 hours straight… No other game has gotten me like this! And I enjoy GW2 more I play. Norn has so great storyline. And Roleplaying… next i will RP. Good bye RL…. xD

Yeah the game is fun at first, but then it becomes incredibly repetitive and quite boring.

280 hours in and still having tons of fun

Hehe, I hit 80 this weekend and thought… WoW, when did that happen? I wasn’t running around saying, only x more levels to this or that… in fact, I really never paid much attention to my level. I was just enjoying the game too much. I haven’t even left the level 60 zones yet. So much to do… so much to do…. so very much to do!

250 hours of fun is a pretty good return on investment I dread to think how much I’d pay for 250 hours of fun going out drinking/partying with friends.

Well you guys can take your logic and rationale elsewhere! I for one will be determined to not have fun once I pass 250 hours no matter how tough it may be with such a grandiose world to explore.

I will then proceed to complain and admonish the game.
