I would like to say
I’m enjoying it too. I’ll probably get flamed for saying this, but I’m glad to find a thread about someone enjoying the game, rather than bashing it non-stop.
Funny how you guys are the minority.
minority speaks
Funny how you guys are the minority.
Considering we’re both on the forums, I’d say we’re both the minority here
At the moment this to me is the best MMO on the market. I would rather play this than anything out there including the head honcho.
It’s not completely to my liking as I tend to be more sandbox oriented in my desires, but it has enough of a sandbox feel to it that keeps me interested. SWTOR went f2p and I can’t bother with that cause it is so very linear to me. I like at least the illusion of playing the way I want…so if I chose to hate Orr and say to heck with that I will just mess with other bits of content.
How DARE you enjoy this ghame!
I too played every MMO in the last 20 years and yes, GW2 is the best MMO on the market by far.
The forum community is the worst I’ve ever seen in my entire life tho, they want everything perfect and now, and they want it exactly as they imagine, oh and god forbid Anet takes a new route because they saved every word of them and are ready to use them against them.
New generations…
I used to enjoy it until:
- they’ve yet to comment let alone fix any of the issues engineers have had since before launch, the last word we had from a dev was two months ago in our forums. Sheer lack of communication kills gaming communities quickly.
- they either broke by accident or completely nerfed any kind of rare drops from anything outside dungeons, or the mystic toilet. Horrible economics kills game communities.
- they continue to have even more bugs (for whatever the reason, all i know is they need a bigger bug fixing team in the short term) seems the bugs lists are climbing not being solved (like the new stealth/invis bug in pve, suddenly everyone can see me) Endless relentless bugs that never get fixed kills gaming communities.
It really is getting that bad no joke. I actually thought about going back to an older game today. GULP

I do hope they get the glitches fixed soon, though I guess we’ll just have to wait and see how long it actually takes.
Wow, sure a lot of belly aching. Just the world we live in these days. I love GW2. Best game I have played to date.
No one is going to hate or flame you for liking the game, having fun playing the game or just generally speaking your opinion.
Giving REASONS as to why you feel the game is great, based on rational logic and facts however, will add weight to your decision and help others at least partially agree or meet in the middle on aspects, if you were to claim that the games
“entirely bug and glitch free, omg so well handled those bugs are”
Now you’re skating on thin ice as we know better, but if you were to state that a paradigm element of this games mechanics was to you subjectively better such as
“omg the loot drops not being competitive is amazing for me, other mmo’s forced that loot pvp on me and this is a breath of fresh air”
Now that has some merit and even if you disagree, it’s not a horribly false claim, so by all means don’t stop liking the game. But if you just claim it with no justification it’s little more than baseless comments that have little bearing aside from being borderline spam comments. No offense intended of course
also comments like:
God forbid Anet takes a new route because they saved every word of them and are ready to use them against them.

I’ve been gaming for over a decade if not nearly two now, being held accountable is not something that a game development team is above, why are people so unable to understand this?
If someone tells you they’ll make you a fence for 5 dollars (etc) and then instead makes you a shed and charges you 5 dollars with an added 5 dollars every week for a month then they are held accountable for not creating what they claimed and or were paid for, the same goes if they sell you orange soda, and it’s grape but in an orange soda can. They are accountable for their product not meeting it’s specifications.

Good grief, the quote system seems to be glitching again :/
Anyway, to Hellkaiser… Very true, and no offence taken. The main reason I didn’t give much explanation was because (1 time and (2 the other guy already created the thread. As for my flame comment, I had already seen many times today people that enjoyed the game, and gave reasons for it, get flamed by other members of the forums because they didn’t agree. Though it may have been due my comment, the two people that responded after me are perfect examples. As for why I like the game, one thing I like the most is the combat. Some people may not like having skills tied to weapons, but I personally don’t mind it. And I appreciate the way you have to keep moving, rather than it being a strictly numbers game.
i like the game a lot dont know if it is my favorite game or not yet. what i love about the game is how the hearts are used to allow one to the quest their way maybe collecting or just killing bears instead of just kill 10 bears.there are flaws(as in many bugs) in the game but i see potential if they handle it correctly. i personally think they are adding content too quickly which compounds bugs i’ve seen this in other games they put out new content over new content until the bugs compound so the game becomes unplayable. id love to see some improvements in guild wars 2 and it is visually one of the best games i’ve seen. im going to go more with wait and see good games become great over time and this is a good game thats has potential to be great. i have sen good games go bad so its more wait and see for me
